Excellent birthday night away in a fabulous hotel

The staff were so helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much of an ask. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast we had in the hotel, great selection and great staff. The view from breakfast is incredible.

Excellent choice in Cork, although a bit out of the way
Pros:

This is a lovely, multi-building hotel on several different levels, situated high atop a hill overlooking Cork. For most folks a car or taxi is absolutely necessary to go back and forth to town. The walk down is 20-25 minutes, the return is 30-35, mildly strenuous. That said, it is certainly one of the better choices in Cork. The room size was appropriate for the rate we paid. There is a wide range of prices, some with lovely views over the town. The parking lot had sufficient parking for the cars, but at times it was tight. Our room rate included breakfast which should be reviewed as very good to wonderful. There was a good choice of freshly prepared breakfast dishes each morning. Everything was delicious. This place is very recommended.

Cons:

Nothing

Will not be going back
Pros:

The view

Cons:

Lifts were broken. The roads getting to the hotel were tough to navigate. The food quality didn’t live up to the food pricing.

Extremely good, would recommend it.
Pros:

Extremely good facilities, very pleasant apartment with all needed facilities. Extremely polite and helpful staff. Nice views over the city from the terrace.

Cons:

If walking from the city, there is either a short very steep hill or a longer fairly steep hill.

Lovely.
Pros:

It was beautiful. We stayed in an apartment and it was so spacious, and clean, and quiet.

Cons:

It a bit of a walk from town - and very steep uphill if you wanted to walk back, but that’s kind of just cork…
