Room Feedback: Serious Issues with Hygiene and Facilities
"I am writing to share my disappointment regarding my recent stay. Unfortunately, our experience was far below expectations due to several serious issues:
• Persistent Odor and Ventilation: There was a strong, persistent sewage smell inside the room. When we tried to use the ventilation to clear it, the system unfortunately made the odor even worse.
• Security and Privacy Concerns: Since the room was located on the ground level and very close to the street, we felt uncomfortable and unsafe leaving the windows open. This meant we were trapped with the bad smell as we couldn't ventilate the room safely.
• Lack of Management Support: We reported the odor issue to the staff, and while we were promised that the room would be cleaned/treated with a fragrance, nobody ever came to resolve the situation.
• Heating Issues: The room was quite cold. However, we couldn't use the air conditioning to heat the space because turning it on intensified the sewage smell to an unbearable level.
• Connectivity Problems: The Wi-Fi credentials provided on the wall were incorrect. To make matters worse, there was poor cellular reception inside the room. We frequently had to step outside the front door just to send a message or use the internet. Despite bringing this to your attention, no solution was provided.
I believe these are significant issues that need to be addressed immediately for future guests. I hope this feedback helps you improve your service standards."

Não tenho do que reclamar, funcionários simpáticos, ótima localização e tudo arrumado dentro do apartamento

De bank. Zit absoluut niet comfortabel. De verlichting is wel heel erg fel.

El aire acondicionado no funcionaba y eso hacia que la habitación fuera incomoda, nos comunicamos con la administración y aunque hubo buena atención y seguimiento solo ofrecieron realizar un descuento en la estancia pues el problema no lo podían solucionar.

Cada tanto había olor a cloaca

We booked accommodation for 4 people, and NOWHERE was it mentioned that this actually meant two separate apartments, each with only one double bed.

Apartment 1: The place absolutely stank of sewage the entire time — disgusting and unbearable. The sink in the bathroom was broken and the water barely drained. To make it worse, there were only two rolls of toilet paper for the entire stay, which is ridiculous. We had to spend our own money to buy toilet paper.

Apartment 2: For two whole days we had no hot water — in a city where the temperature was over 30°C. We contacted the owners, but they were incredibly rude and only replied after two days. And their “answer”? That we should have somehow magically known where in the apartment the switch was that might have tripped and caused the hot water to stop working. Absolutely unacceptable.

Nós nos sentimos lesados e invadidos. O tratamento foi um abuso, um misto de falta de bom senso e falta de tato com um cliente em férias.
Ao chegarmos em Madrid algo sinalizava que não seria muito fácil. Levou mais tempo que o combinado pra entregar a chave.
Já no primeiro dia o ar condicionado do quarto não funcionava, mas estava agradável para dormir, então nem questionamos. Encontramos "tufos" de cabelos ruivos na parede do banheiro do apto 01. Claramente mal limpo.
Já no segundo dia fomos interrompidos por uma manutenção nos dutos, que arrancou o gesso e fez muito barulho, enquanto tomávamos nosso café. Inclusive trancando a passagem de um quarto para o outro, uma vez que estava de pijama e não passaria na frente de estranhos.
Reclamamos do barulho e da sujeira e pedimos que não fizessem manutenção enquanto estivéssemos ali, a atendente respondeu dizendo que era uma manutenção programada.
Deixaram tudo sujo de gesso na portaria, e o pior, acessaram nossos apartamentos sem a nossa autorização, com a desculpa e iriam resolver os problemas do chuveiro. Sendo que entraram nos 2 quartos (depois que saímos e sem nosso consentimento), usaram as pias, toalhas e sujaram o piso com marcas de sapatos. Alem de espalharem gesso pelos dois quartos. E somente por isso percebemos que tinham entrado em nossos quartos sem a nossa autorização. Fato confirmado pela atendente que pediu desculpas e ofereceu limpeza. Não queríamos mais ninguém em nossos quartos.
Depois dessa fatídica manutenção, a geladeira, a máquina de lavar e o chuveiro do quarto 02 não funcionaram mais.
Nos ajeitamos porque não queríamos mais ser incomodados. Perdemos um dia de passeio porque tivemos que sair mais tarde e nos sentimos muito inseguros.

To leiligheter. Den ene leiligheten hadde ødelagt aircondition og var umulig å oppholde seg og sove i - like varmt inne som ute (opptil 40°). Vi måtte sove 4 pers i 1 leil. 2 i en bitteliten stue og 2 i et lite soverom uten dør til stuen. Var hele tiden i kontakt med eier, de visste om aircondition problemet på forhånd, men unnlot å si fra - satte inn to elendige og ubrukelige små vifter isteden. De lovte å få tak i rep., men ingenting skjedde. Dørene inn til leilighetene + ytterdøren rett utenfor var ikke smurt og vekket oss og hele nabolaget. Vi har krevet full refusjon for hele oppholdet. Dessuten ingen mulighet til å sitte tilbords, kun to høye barkrakker og en høy benk i hver leil.

Because I wasn't able to get in touch with the agent before arrival (I tried to email but it was bounced back) I didn't complete the ID formalities, deposit etc. which was a bit difficult to do via the phone. I will accept that it was my lack of experience of airbnb accommodation which didn't help. The agents were very patient with me in getting it sorted.
