The position to the Convention Center was magnificent, just a block away.
Lots of bars just 2 blocks away, my favorite Lucy’s, about a 10 minute walk to the French Quarter, 5 minutes to the Casino.
Valet parking was available, staff very friendly.
The hotel was lovely, very large and well appointed,
Lovely lounge area and separate bedroom, large well appointed bathroom.
Had a wonderful stay in New Orleans
It is downtown and close to the convention center (5 min walk) which was nice. It is down the block from the trolley that takes you to the French Quarters and the market. The rooms are fairly large.
They seemed to be short staffed so getting towels or ice required the front desk person to do multiple jobs. There’s also no way to call the front desk from the rooms.
The staff were nice and the room was very nice and clean. I enjoyed the k-cup coffee machine.
Only one elevator was working upon check out, causing the room cleaning personnel to put their large cleaning cart in the elevator with us and our luggage cart. The wait for the elevator was about 5 minutes to go downstairs.
The mattress seemed to have some wear on it. There were lots of lamps, but no overhead lighting. This was fine, except for the bathroom. It made it difficult to get dressed in the evening.
I was charged an additional $159 fee when I arrived, and was told it was for "incidentals." The invoice was inaccurate because it showed I had pre-paid $375 instead if $414. I would like to know the difference.
The valet helper broke a costume piece when loading the luggage cart. The main valet person was very professional at check out.
Cute hotel, loved the vinyl player and jazz records! I had lots of space, bed was comfy. Would stay again!
The windows in the room are just for show; there is a brick wall blocking any view.
A fun historical place set in the warehouses district of New Orleans. You can see the exposed brick from the old sugar factory that used to be there that gives it charm. It’s super close to the convention center that is only a 5 minute walk, if not shorter, 8-10 minutes to Bourbon street, and about 16 minute walk to the WW2 museum. There are restaurants so close you can smell the gumbo cookin’. The rooms were nice, clean, homey that had a living room with a pull out couch/Bed. In the living room there was a nice little counter space with a sink, coffee maker, underneath was a microwave and a mini fridge. ( trust me, having both of these are a plus. I’ve been to hotels where theu would have one and not the other, or any)
The Fun cute little cherry on top for the room, a record player with jazz records to put you in the mood for when you want to Laissez les bons temps rouler.
Only two things came to mind during my stay. They had the A/C set to 57 degrees in the breakfast area. The food was great but the temp was so chilly that your food got cold after a few minutes. Maybe that’s the plan , freeze you out so you don’t linger. The next issue was, the elevator went out at night so we had to walk up the stairs to get to our room. the elevator’s were working perfectly the next morning so it might have been an isolated incident. Other than it was a really nice hotel with a definite New Orleans feel .
The location
The parking
The moment we stepped through the doors was very impressive, the lobby and bar area were very clean and inviting. The young lady who checked us In was very pleasant and informative. The young lady at the bar was also very nice and welcoming! Although it was freezing on the floor we stayed on, our room was perfect in every way!! The hotel environment truly felt like home away from home. We will be back!!
The cost of valet at $60/day is totally outrageous, therefore we will opt to not use this service on future visits to New Orleans.
The location was great. Staff were friendly and very helpful. The rooms were spacious and the view was good.

The tv didn't work. The elevators were smelly and only one was working. The breakfast wasn't good. The bread smelled molded.
