It appeared understaffed, a little sruffy and cheap decor. Maybe just not our taste rather than bad.
Comfortable. Everything worked.
Pretty much everything
No beers on draft
Lovely property. Comfortable and truly dog friendly. Good breakfast. The staff are also friendly and helpful. Food good but very expensive.
The price. The hotel has staffing issues and for the price one pays you do not expect the bar and reception to close at 6pm. It feels like the “Marie Celeste” at times. The food for the standard of hotel is good(not great ) but way too expensive and prices were akin to a top London hotel. As an example £ 55 for a ribeye steak. I paid £17 for a glass of Rose and £16 for a dessert.
Beautiful in great location
We were not made aware the spa steam room was out of action. The jacuzzi was freezing so we could not go in it therefore the pool and sauna were the only options. The pool was also very cold. This was the main disappointment
the pool area .The breakfast was lovely ! service good too
being sent an e mail for someones else's meal bill as we were leaving !! Thank goodness I didn't have to pay that ... the receptionist laughed but no apology
A smart hotel with a very comfortable room. Very clean & staff who were very friendly & attentive. It was dog friendly & plenty of good walks nearby. For me the location was great.
The spa facilities are small so unless you pre book access to the pool etc you don't have a chance to getting a slot at a time which suits you, especially if families are staying. As stated in other reviews the steam room is often out of service. It may be different in low season. The village doesn't have anything else going on - the only pub is closed. The restaurant menu is limited & niche & wine expensive by the bottle - good for a special occasion but you are a long way from another restaurant.
The staff are friendly and nice
The food was very nice at dinner but the waiters were not experienced enough to served food we got are main course when still eating my starter and are bottle of wine didn’t come untill half way though the main course but they are very nice people
The room was lovely
There was no hot water in our room and in the changing room. The pool was cold and the hot tub was very cold! The hotel was aware of this but didn't mention it to us.
Check out experience was awful tried to charge us again for the room but we had already paid when we arrived. Then, as we left to go to our car, a gentleman ran after us and said he couldn't see that we had paid. I showed him the receipt, and he said someone had not entered it onto the system. We were extremely embarrassed as their was another couple who watched what was happening. This was a surprise birthday stay for my husband. and we did not get the experience we had paid for. We sent an email today and a follow-up email with further issues, but we are still awaiting for the general manager to get in touch, which we were told this morning he would!!! We have requested a full refund and believe it is justified of the issues we encountered.

Friendly staff, always willing to help.
Bit further away from the sea than we thought but that was our fault for not checking more thoroughly.
A lovely ambiance in a very quiet village which was perfect for what we wanted. Great facilities and a very luxurious room.
Delightful, character filled property in the beautiful countryside. Friendly helpful staff.
All good!!
Very nice
Thought we would probably have some slippers for the room
