Maine Uni Campus experience included!
Pros:

Vorausgeschickt: Wir hatten am etwas abgelegenen Unicampus unseren Spaß und alles war neu und sauber. Alles ab jetzt Gesagte kann aber genauso zum Nachteil ausgelegt werden - je nachdem, was man sucht und erwartet:

Das Hotel Ursa befindet sich am Campus der Maine University etwas außerhalb von Orono, am anderen Ufer des Stillwater Rivers. Da in den USA ohnehin nichts ohne Auto geht - keine große Sache. Außerdem hat man am Areal einen gratis Parkplatz inbegriffen. Die Unterkunft ist also auf alle Fälle ruhig gelegen ;-)
Die Rezeption, der Frühstücksbereich, der Mini-Markt und und das Fitnesscenter befinden sich im Hauptgebäude des Hotels. Untergebracht waren wir im Nebengebäude, konnten aber direkt davor parken und auch zu Fuß war man in einer Minute dort.
Alles hatte eine leichte Hogwarts-Patina, aber irgendwie war das ganz cool. Als wir da waren, war es Sommer und somit am Campus nichts los. Ich kann mir gut vorstellen, dass das Hotel für Eltern gedacht ist, die ihre Kinder an der Uni übers Wochenende am Campus besuchen.
Die Zimmer mit hohen Wänden in den alten, wunderschönen Ziegelbauten waren sauber und modern ausgestattet. Dennoch fühlte ich mich etwas in alte Dormitory Zeiten zurückversetzt. Aber auf eine gute Art und Weise.
Für eine Nacht auf der Durchreise oder ein Wochenende absolut empfehlenswert!

Cons:

Wie gesagt, alles von mir als positiv Beschriebene kann für andere nicht so ideal sein.
Wenn man im Sommer alleine reist, kann man sich in den alten Gebäuden verloren und, da in der Umgebung nicht viel los ist, etwas einsam fühlen...

Auch die Rezeption wirkte wie von Studenten geführt - alle sehr sympathisch und charmant, hin und wieder aber etwas seeeehr legère.

Would stay here again, loved being able to stay on campus.
Pros:

The room was great, bathroom great, loved the neat old building. The staff was accommodating and helpful.

Cons:

The food options were less than ideal. It would be nice to see some local options or sustainably sourced, less individually packaged in plastic.

The hotel should have give a discount or a free breakfast for the patrons who stayed during the power outage!
