Themaverfehlung, wenn man sich doch Luxury Living nennt
Pros:

Während unseres Aufenthalts waren Parkplätze auf der Straße rund um die Unterkunft vorhanden.

Cons:

Das Vellum scheint in meinen Augen besonders auf kurzfristige Aufenthalte aus zu sein.

Für diese Vermutung sprechen ganze drei einfachste Plastikkleiderbügel auf einer Kleiderstange im Schrank, die ein Vielfaches vertragen würde.
Dafür spricht auch eine winzige Dusche, in der sich schlanke Personen immerhin umdrehen können. Dafür spricht auch, daß es außer einer schmalen Ablage unter dem Badspiegel keine Ablagemöglichkeit im Bad gibt (außer dem Fußboden). Die Kalkablagerungen an der Duschkabine zeugen von keinem Luxury Living.

Die Schranktür, die den kleinen, zweckmäßigen Kühlschrank verkleidet, schließt nicht, was den Geräuschpegel unnötig erhöht.

Ein No-Go ist die fehlende Angabe zum Frühstück VOR der Buchung sowie die falsche Angabe dazu NACH der Buchung. Das Frühstück ist 350m entfernt in einer zwar sehr netten und angenehmen Lokalität, aber eben nicht im Haus. Eine Angabe dazu gibt es nicht. Die Frühstückszeit wurde nach der Buchung mit 7:30 bis 11 Uhr angegeben. Das ist völlig falsch, da das im Lokal erst ab 9 Uhr möglich ist. Die Zeit an sich ist im Urlaub normal völlig OK, aber falsche Infos tragen nicht zur Stimmung bei. Das Frühstück im Papua Chorus Bistro war immerhin sehr lecker und haben wir sehr genossen. Es gab 4 Frühstücksoptionen mit frisch gepreßten Orangensaft, kein Standardbüffet.

Die Dame am Empfang am Anreisetag war sehr überrascht, daß wir kommen trotz Buchung zwei Monate zuvor. Das macht alles, aber keinen guten Eindruck.

Der Kaffeeautomat im Vellum war die ganze Zeit während unseres Aufenthalts außer Betrieb. Wir brauchten ihn nicht, aber er ist im Weg gestanden, da er die einzige Treppe nach oben teilweise verstellt (für Fluchtwegfanatiker, die wir nicht sind, wäre das ein Desaster).

Pros:

We had an amazing stay at this hotel. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless, fully equipped with toilet paper, shower gel, shampoo, soap, a hairdryer, and other essentials. The Wi-Fi connection was excellent and very reliable. I would also like to sincerely thank all the staff, from the housekeepers to the receptionists, for their kindness and helpfulness throughout our stay. Their professionalism made our experience even more enjoyable.
