AILEN BOUTIQUE HOTEL

We were disappointed with our stay at this hotel, especially considering it was one of the more expensive places we stayed during our travels through South East Asia.
Upon arrival, we left our luggage at reception while waiting for check-in so we could explore the city. When we returned, the staff member at reception rudely questioned the size/weight of our bags, which we later discovered was because there were no elevators in any of the buildings. Had this been communicated to us earlier, we likely would have chosen alternative accommodation better suited to our needs. We were repeatedly told this information was listed on Booking.com, however after checking multiple times, we could not find this disclosed anywhere.
We had also booked a “city view” room, but the actual view was simply of the neighbouring buildings, which did not match expectations. Additionally, our room was not serviced during our stay, and we had to walk to another building to request basic items such as toilet paper and fresh towels.
Another disappointment was the payment process. A sign at reception stated there was a 3% card surcharge, however we were charged 4% and told the sign was outdated. This felt unfair, as customers should not be responsible for incorrect pricing information displayed by the hotel.
Unfortunately, despite the positive reviews we originally saw before booking, our experience did not reflect them. Overall, the hotel felt very misleading compared to what was advertised.

The mattress and blanket were not clean, and there were flies and mosquitoes in the room. Anyway, it is also my fault for not informing the staff. We were too tired to complain to the staff.

The air conditioner remote control was a bit odd. The air conditioner itself worked, but the remote didn't display the temperature or change it.

1.大部分非飯店的這種小民宿都沒有電梯，如果有長輩出遊或行李很多的人要再考慮
2.因為離夜店街很近，所以低樓層的房間容易有噪音，怕聲音的話應該可以提早跟飯店聯絡要高樓層的房間
3.會有小蟲子小螞蟻
4.換房間前的房間馬桶蓋有點問題但吹風機很強，換房間後的房間廁所抽風在廁所外面（？），就有點有一好沒兩好的感覺

It was a bit noisy with the bars arround, but nothing disturbed our sleep. There's no lift, so you have yo walk up stairs.
