Basic room but fine for the cost, apart from the terrible sleep.
The main issue was how noisy it was at night. There was a weird thumping in the ceiling roof all night and I don't know if it was a possum or a rat but it was horrendous and I didn't sleep for hours. It would have also been helpful to have a minibar in the room.

Tables not cleaned of food & debris on many tables long after customers had left
Pool Table £1.50 ridiculously expensive then staff couldn’t & wouldn’t reimburse us of the £1.50 when balls wouldn’t come out saying it was not the pubs responsibility as the pool table was an outside concern!
Coffee in the morning breakfast flasks were not hot & the food was thrown on the plate & not appetising or appealing to look at!
A pub on its way out feel about it

Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The cooked breakfast was very nice too.
The carpet in our room was very tired with large obvious stains on it. Coffee in the room was instant straws. There were no cups or glasses near the self-service breakfast area, so everyone had to ask for them at the bar, and the tables were sticky after being cleaned. This last one happens in alot of pubs, so not unusual but would have thought as the first people in for breakfast the cloth being used yo wipe the tables would have been fresh and clean, which is where the problem lies.

The place is tatty and worn and in need of a complete refurbishment. Little things like the toaster not working properly, yoghurt pots put out on ice but no tea spoons to eat them with, hit and miss availability of menu items

Well priced, nice location. Beds a little uncomfortable and they need to get some new pillows
The room was a good size with plenty of storage for a weekend stay. Lighting was a bit dim but ok. Bed was comfortable and breakfast was fine. It was great to be able to charge my car!
Staff seemed a little reserved and could have been a little bit more friendly maybe? It was a pity the dining area was still being cleaned during breakfast.
