Close proximity to event
Upon arrival the fowl smell of the reception area was just over whelming. It looked, smelt, felt damp and dirty. Bathrooms had mould. Toilets had stains.

Was ideal for an early flight from bristol airport
It is in a great location for tge airport. It has electric chargers. The staff are always welcoming. The food is lovely and well priced.

Room was good, bathrooms still look tired and need of an overhaul.
Food not brilliant. Had garlic mushrooms for a starter which appeared to have been microwaved several times and had a hard chewy texture. Also had to come with the main course as the restaurant was busy?
Steak pie and mash, whereby the mash was lukewarm with little gravy to speak of!
A good sized room with a comfortable bed.
The purpose of staying at this hotel, was for a family get together in the evening, when we had an enjoyable meal, which was promptly served and good value.
We have stayed at this hotel a few times over the years and would suggest it needs some money spent on it, as it is looking somewhat tired!
Nice size bedrooms
The pub shut at 9pm Sunday and 10pm all the other days
It was perfectly positioned for an event we were attending. Plenty of parking space. Good, clean comfortable room. Most of the staff are friendly and helpful.
They seemed very stressed and there were obviously staffing problems. Breakfast was ok but we were told the night before that we should be there early because once they run out of pastry that's it. In the evening we were lucky that we didn't need much food because the list of things on the menu that weren't available was huge. The staff were doing their best but were not apologetic. We didn't feel very welcome later when we were asked if we were residents. They obviously wanted to close and it wasn't even 10pm. In the morning we were still at breakfast when they started hoovering round us.
Clean and tidy enough
Only booked here on a pass through on the way home from Devon because of the advertised kids play centre. Sadly this was closed and we weren’t told. Staff were a bit unfriendly and the place had a drab quality to it. Food ok if you’re hungry and don’t mind waiting.
Friendly staff, comfortable bed and lovely and clean. Lovely food and reasonably priced.

We had to be in sand bay for 8am so we're unable to have breakfast, last meal order ws 8.30 pm, which was a bit of a rush as our event in sand bay did not finish till sometimes 7.30, by the time we ate our meal the kitchen was closed and we could not have desert not even ice cream. They were not very flexible to our needs, we probably would not stay here again
The honest member of staff in the bar/restaurant who told us that the quality of meat was not going to be any different if we had just had replacement for the overcooked sizzling steak not medium rare ( tough as old boots.so we completely changed meal which was as described
Hard bed sticky indepth tables in bar ( remember the old pub carpets from the 70/80s tired décor furnishings no real segregation from the eating area and pool area so unrelaxed meals think of crossroads and that's the bridge inn ok if you want basic cheap but for a little extra you can stay better elsewhere
Convenient for the airport
Second time staying, both times very noisy.this time next door room with two men in it shouting and swearing at each other from 11.30am to 2am - slaming doors and very antisocial behaviour - we had a very early flight (up at 2.30am) and had very disrupted sleep!!
Won't be booking again!!
