Mooie ligging aan de lagoon, schoon, fijne bedden en super aardige, gezellige, mensen!

Very nice and helpful staff. Beautiful view from the terrace.
Unfortunately, it was very dirty. The floor in the room was dusty, and there were cobwebs and dead insects hanging from the ceiling and walls—not just a few, but a great many. The bathroom wasn't very clean. The drain was dirty, and the walls and floors desperately needed a thorough cleaning. Empty beer bottles and other trash were lying in a niche in the room. Cleaning supplies and various other trash and junk were scattered on the terrace, along with food scraps under the table. Upon request, we received two towels for five people and toilet paper. It's a real shame, because the hotel has a fantastic location, and the rooms are actually very nice. With better cleanliness and tidying, it could be a top-notch place.
Un super accueil chaleureux, des chambres hyper confortables. Nous recommandons cette guest house à 100%.Le propriétaire était à l'écoute, honnête. Il nous a fait les courses pour notre petit déjeuner et nous a fait payer le même prix qu'il a payé sans frais supplémentaires ( avec le ticket pour en témoigner). L'emplacement est super avec de nombreux restaurants autour et un supermarché, proche de la plage.

Nice place close to the ocean and on the lagoon. Didn’t notice a smell like other reviews. He offered us free tea in the morning and even let us do laundry for free. Room was comfortable and AC worked great.
Every conversation involved asking us for a review- this happens all the time in Sri Lanka but this was excessive.
The owner is a very nice person and always trying to make us comfortable there.

Bad odour from the lagoon and some amenities were not available
We arrived very late (after midnight) and couldn’t get in initially but they were very kind and welcoming when we did. Also when we left they called the tuk tuk driver we went to bus station with and told him we had left a passport - above and beyond!! If staff hadn’t done this I wouldn’t have even realised until we reached Trincomalee. Thank you very much!!
Right on the lagoon, decent view form shared terrace , near a couple of restaurants ( get take away) and a mini supermarket and beer shop. 25 minutes to Kallady beach which is nice , clean and ok fir a swim but deep very quickly and strong drag
Room basic: beds , decent armchair and small table. Bathroom fine , water not too cold.. lighting is cell like , one very bright bare bulb and room during day quite dark as window is frosted glass.
Shared terrace good enough but one family had the 3 other rooms and felt like i was in their terrace.
Young man running it fine but speaks and understands no english, absolutely fine but you can’t ask anything. Also no bfast or drinks etc available.
Advertised tv doesn’t work. No wifi.
The hotel manager, jana, was a blessing. He helped me organise my trips around town & the bus ticket when i left. He even came with me to the stop to make sure i caught the right coach. He took all the stress out of all me concerns. Thanks jana.

The staff is great! They accommodated us with an extra room for our driver. They were able to provide us with multiple recommendations in regards to food spots and special temples to visit during our stay. We even saw some fishermen during their early AM fishing expedition.
The beds could have been a bit more comfortable.

Keine Möglichkeit Moskitonetze anzubringen. Beim Auschecken hatte das Personal kein Wechselgeld, Kartenzahlung war aber auch nicht möglich. Zimmer war sehr basic. Internetverbindungen gab es zwei, die beide aber immer wieder keine Verbindung ins WWW hatten.

Okay they plan to do it up but at present there was a leaking ceiling in my bathroom, no hot water (evidently you have to ask for it) and exposed capped electrical wires. Also a brick sized void to the outside letting in mosquitoes which did attack me.
Seems harsh but for all of that the location is so pleasant I would stay again (probably).
We lead a wonderful experience at Lagoon Breeze. The terrace has the most beautiful view overlooking the lagoon. A lovely space to spend time and relax. We were worried prior to booking that there may be noise from the bridge, happily we couldn’t hear the traffic at all. Jana our host went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and helped us with everything we needed during our stay.
Important to note that there were some negative reviews posted about Lagoon Breeze in the past. Management has changed since these reviews and the staff is working to continually improve and update the property (still in progress).
