Candra Surf Homestay

This is a lovely family-run homestay that truly feels like a home away from home. It was my second time staying with the family and taking lessons with Wayan—my favourite surf instructor—and once again, it was an amazing experience. They are very honest and helpful with everything you need, including the bike rental. I only wish I could have stayed longer, but it’s no surprise they’re always fully booked given how popular they are!

Tolles Hostel, schöne Zimmer mit kleiner Terrasse und Gemeinschaftsküche. Frisches Wasser gibt es kostenfrei im Zimmer und Kaffee/ Tee in der Küche. Die Familie ist supernett und ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt. Man kann dort Roller mieten und bei Wayan sogar das Surfen lernen 🙂🤙Ich komme gerne wieder 😎🤙

I originally booked for one week but loved it so much that I stayed for two. The homestay is run by a lovely local family who make you feel right at home from day one. The area is perfect , quiet, beautiful, and surrounded by great cafés and restaurants. Epi, the owner, is kind and always willing to help with anything. Excellent value for the price and a great spot to enjoy a peaceful stay in Canggu.

I absolutely loved my time at this homestay in Canguu. The room was spacious, beautifully designed, and had everything I needed—from a lovely desk for working to an outdoor balcony area that was perfect for relaxing. You also get access to the kitchen and there’s a washer on-site, which makes it especially ideal for long stays.

There’s a warm, homey vibe here that made it easy to settle in. A kind family lives on the property, and while you will occasionally hear the joyful sounds of children, I found it added to the sense of community and comfort. If you’re looking for total silence, it might not be the right fit—but if you’re after warmth, kindness, and a lived-in feeling, this place is perfect.

The only downside for me was that I did get quite a few mosquito bites—so pack your repellent! That said, it didn’t take away from how much I enjoyed the stay. In fact, I loved it so much I’ve already booked again and will be returning soon with my friends.

Highly recommend—especially for those looking to stay longer and feel right at home.

Lovely people, good wifi, useful kitchen and super location. If you fancy a surf Wayan is a great instructor. Epi is very helpful and so friendly. It was exactly what I expected and as a solo traveler I ended up staying here longer.

Wonderful property and incredible people.
Loved staying with the family, cooking in the spacious and well-equipped kitchen and the lush, quiet surroundings in the midst of busy Canggu.
The room was cleaned very often and towels changed, true luxury when you stay in a budget room for a month.
I was also able to rent a scooter directly from them.
