I love the old skool hotel feel and it does exactly what it's says on the tin.
Lack of breakfast options
The location was amazing with sea facing.
The room wasn't clean enough. There were cobwebs and bird poo on the windows. Which wasn't serving the purpose of having a sea facing view room.
Have stayed there many times in the past, glad its come back after letting out to overseas persons.
Hotel is where we want to be at Bare end of prom.
We are out all day every day on motorcycle rides so our need for hotel facilities is minimal.
Hot breakfast is good. They provide excellent parking facilities.
Superb sunsets across the bay.
Often short staffed, eg reception has to cover bar, but breakfast was well staffed, staff all cheerful and helpful.
Bar had no beer at all until Wednesday so we went out each evening.
b
breakfast terrible front entrance thilthy corridors thilthy rooms spotless
Clean roomy a good place to stay, central location
Cheaper
The lady on reception was helpful and understanding of our issues.
The room had several issues which they were unable to resolve. We did not stay and received a full refund.
Great location, beautiful views and free on road parking
Mattress was old and worn, every spring could be felt
The room experienced a flood from the floor above, onto the bed. We had to move to another room.
No hot drinks machine at the bar.
Nice sea view, decent sized room, excellent vfm.
Bat was a bit thin on drinks available but not a big deal.
Staff were ok, breakfast was good but not much choice.
Bar had no draught beer for for the first 3 days, also very poorly stocked bar,
Good size of room.
Integrated shower/bath-the bath was fairly low, so, it was relatively easy to step in to use the shower.
The breakfast-fantastic, especially the sausages.
The lady at the front desk reiterated the rules about our dog on arrival, made sure that we knew the additional cost and made same animal welcome.
I liked the little references in the hotel to Morecambe’s most famous comedian-it certainly “brought me sunshine”.
Property was absolutely fine.
The woman at the reception desk was brilliant and definitely hard working! Running from reception, to bar, and also cooking breakfast and checking people in and out too.
The extremely small shower, the toilet that moved and didnt flush well, the sink had a big crack in it and the curtain rail fell down at one point too! The wallpaper was coming off and a crack in the roof, clearly from an old leak that hasn't been redecorated.
Very close to the beach and a short walk away from the bars and restaurants
Good location and room size but property is in need of renovation and modernization.
One of the beds in the double room was extremely soft, causing us to sink into the mattress. As a result, it was uncomfortable to sleep on and did not provide adequate support.
