Not worth your money for the facilities, access or privacy that you do not receive.
Pros:

Staff, when available, were helpful. It is my fault for not reading the fine print and seeing that the hotel is unstaffed from 6pm. It's location was also convenient, however, that has been the way since it was built.

Cons:

Charging the rates they do for a hotel that effectively shuts at 6pm is risible. This is a relatively maintained rotary club historic house parading as a hotel. Shower facilities were not up to scratch unless you are keen on spending most of the shower time trying to balance a constantly changing temperature of water in a shower that has no holders for the small tubes of shampoo / conditioner / body wash that is outside the shower, with swollen chipboard vanities greeting you upon exit. I understand the building itself is very old, but these things like water temp are all fixable, so that is a choice. To say nothing of the threadbare, hydrophobic towel that greets you upon your exit. The main room itself is not set up for privacy (have fun trying to get the curtains to properly cover the trafficked hallway outside with the beautiful view to the car park. There are stuff all power points in the room. Cant watch TV from the bed, not that any of the streaming apps were working. I had booked for 4 days and spent the first and last night there as I found better, cheaper accommodation elsewhere at the Grand Chancellor Hotel by the waterfront. This was a mistake I will not be making again.

Great location
Pros:

Nice continental breakfast, great location, nice staff, we were upgraded to a larger room. A nice place if you like to stay somewhere with a heritage vibe. Rooms were clean.

Pros:

Located in an historic building in the heart of Hobart. While comfortable it is a relaxed unfussy place. Breakfast is included and is all you need to start your day.

Cons:

Street parking is not available directly outside the hotel and may be a little way up or down the street.
