Sigiriya Palace View

The hosts were absolutely incredible such a warm, kind and welcoming family. The food was fantastic, nothing was ever too much trouble, and even their lovely dog Kiki added to the experience.
After I left, I realised I’d forgotten my charger, and the host actually travelled 10 kilometres to bring it to me. That really sums up just how helpful and caring they are.
A wonderful stay, and I would highly recommend Sigiriya Palace View to anyone visiting the area.

I had an outstanding stay at this homestay. It is very comfortable, in a natural oasis with a direct view of Lion Rock. The garden atmosphere is relaxing and welcoming. It’s very close to Sigiriya’s restaurants and convenient as a base for all the nearby tours. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The room was spacious, clean, and quiet, with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was also clean and well maintained. The hosts are exceptionally warm and kind, always ready to make you feel at home. They’re happy to offer you a refreshing drink and sit down for a friendly chat, a lovely touch that really adds to the experience. Mr Suriya was incredibly helpful, always providing tips and suggestions about the tours and experiences to do. He personally organizes both transfers and trips, which are cheaper and smarter than what you find online. I recommend not to book experiences in advance online but to arrange everything directly with him on site. Suriya was a great help not only in Sigiriya, but also assisted me in organizing the rest of my trip across other destinations in Sri Lanka.

Le logement était parfaitement conforme à l’annonce, et nous avons également eu la chance de profiter d’un dîner proposé par Suriya, aussi bon que généreux. 🍛

Suriya a été très réactif et disponible tout au long de notre séjour. Il nous a également proposé ses services pour nous faire découvrir Sigiriya, Dambulla et les alentours en tuk-tuk, tout en nous partageant de très bonnes adresses pour manger. 🛺

Il s’est aussi montré très arrangeant pour organiser nos autres trajets, notamment jusqu’à Kandy et Ambewela, avec l’aide de ses confrères.

We loved that we could sit in the garden eating the most delicious home cooked lunch overlooking Lions Rock. A very special place in Sigiriya. Suriya hosted us so well with helpful tips and offers amazing trips in his rickshaw.

Exceptional Stay – Highly Recommended!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay and everything exceeded our expectations. The property was beautiful, peaceful and very well maintained, with a relaxing atmosphere that made our stay truly enjoyable.

The rooms were clean, comfortable and well arranged, and all the facilities were excellent. What impressed us most was the hospitality and friendly service. We felt genuinely welcomed and well looked after throughout our stay.

It was a perfect place to relax, spend quality time together and create some great memories. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Amazing stay! Very very clean and comfortable. The host helped me literally in everything i needed offering me tours to all the attractions in the area without being pushy. As a solo traveller that was very very helpful because i didnt have to worry about anything. He also helped to arrange transportations to the cities nearby and everything in very reasonable prices.

We had a very pleasant stay here. The atmosphere was warm and family-like, and the accommodation was clean and well maintained. The food was excellent and clearly prepared with a lot of care.

The hosts were extremely welcoming and attentive, and the host was also happy to accommodate special requests, which made the stay feel very personal and comfortable. They were very engaged in helping us arrange trips and activities, offering a great variety of excursions at very reasonable prices. They were always keen to make sure we had a good experience.

A lovely place with welcoming hosts, excellent food, and very good value for money. We would happily stay here again.

Nous avons logé à l'étage avec vue sur le rocher du lion. Vue magnifique. Un espace terrasse avec canapé pour se reposer et une table pour prendre le petit déjeuner ou le dîner préparé par la.maitresse de maison. Surya et son épouse sont très accueillants et très arrangeants. Surya possède son tuktuk et nous a beaucoup aidé pour l'organisation du séjour et trouvé des chauffeurs pour nos trajets. Super séjour ! Je recommande vivement.

Eine sehr gemütliche und sehr saubere Unterkunft mit toller Aussicht. Wir bekamen sehr viele hilfreiche Informationen, außerdem organisierte unser Gastgeber unsere gewünschten Touren nach Polonnaruwa und Kandy für gute Konditionen. Frühstück und Abendessen waren sehr lecker und landestypisch. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

The host Suriya and his wife are really humble, kind people who will always help you out with any questions/information.
The location is surrounded by kind of a jungle so you might have few mosquito but otherwise it is definitely value for money.

El personal es muy amable, estuvieron muy pendientes de nosotras. Nos dejaron su cocina para hacer una tortilla de patatas para la final del mundial. Tienen un jardín fantástico con unas vistas impresionantes a Lion Rock. Las camas cuentas con mosquiteras y buen aire acondicionado. El baño es muy amplio, no tenían secador pero nos dejaron uno.

Suriya e sua moglie ci hanno trattato molto bene dal primo momento. Lui disponibilissimo ad organizzarci le varie gite e molto oneste sui prezzi. La posizione è molto bella con vista sul lion’s rock e vicina a vari localini.
