Pros:

What really set the stay apart were the conversations. If you are interested, the team love to talk about life on the island, local food, Swahili phrases, and family. They're proud of Zanzibar and happy to share it, and you can feel that warmth in everything they do. By the end of our stay, we didn't feel like guests anymore; we felt like friends.

The villa itself is beautiful and peaceful, just steps from Kendwa's gorgeous white-sand beach, but it's the hospitality that makes it truly special. Sunrise coffee, fresh fruit, laughter drifting from the kitchen, and a friendly "pole pole" (slowly, slowly) reminding you to relax.

Another wonderful bonus is the access to Kendwa Rocks, a beautiful beach club where you can enjoy the stunning beach atmosphere and complimentary access to the beachside seating and comfortable sofas. It's the perfect spot to relax, soak up the sun, and enjoy delicious food and refreshing drinks right by the ocean.

And if you're looking to truly unwind, don't miss Spa Hub at Kendwa Rocks! We had an amazing experience there as a couple. Our host, Ali Baba, welcomed us with such a warm, friendly, and professional approach. We enjoyed a private hammam experience together, including a steam session, a full-body scrub, and an incredible one-hour massage. Everything was perfectly organised, and the professionalism was outstanding. The massage was definitely the highlight — incredibly relaxing and one of the best parts of our trip. The atmosphere was peaceful, the price-quality ratio was excellent, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. If you visit, definitely ask for Ali Baba! He made our experience extra special.

We left feeling rested, cared for, and already planning our return. Asante sana to the whole team for making our stay unforgettable, not only through the beautiful surroundings but especially through your genuine warmth and hospitality.

Schöne Zimmer, schöne Lage, aber Eigentümerschaft legt sich nicht mehr so ins Zeug

Schöne, grosse Zimmer. Nettes Personal im Restaurant.

Cons:

Unter der Telefonnummer des Hotels auf Booking konnte ich vor der Abreise niemanden erreichen (veraltet). Bei der Ankunft musste ich intervenieren, als der Rezeptionsmitarbeiter mir den falschen Preis verrechnen wollte. Mühsame Depotregelung bei den Strandtüchern (erinnert an ein billiges Hostel). Wir haben auf die Strandtücher verzichtet. Kaffeemaschine hat nicht funktioniert. Abfluss in der Badewanne hat nicht geöffnet (musste mühsam von Hand herausgezogen werden). Badewanne auf dem Balkon war ausser Betrieb. Frühe Checkout-Zeit. Wir waren schon 4 Mal hier. Diesmal vermutlich das letzte Mal.

Beste frokosten vi spiste på turen!
De hadde samarbeid med the rock, som gjorde man hadde tilgang til solsenger på stranden, kort spasertur!
Store fine rom, stort bad og balkong
Gode store senger!

Cons:

Når vi skulle bestille taxi fra hotellet fikk vi dobbel pris enn det vi fikk av en taxisjåfør rett utenfor hotellet!
Litt mye palmer rundt bassengområdet så det ble litt lite sol ved bassenget

Had few issues which were resolved. Staff is excellent

The staff were good. Tried to resolve issues that arose. Food is great too. Nice access to Kendwa beach

Pros:

The staff was always really friendly and helpful. The room was nice, but I wasn't 100% clear that I booked a room that will have all 4 beds inside, because images on the site were a bit confusing. Restaurant is really nice, and has good food, it is convenient to eat there, especially when they bring tables out next to pool.A big plus for this hotel is that the guests can use beach and sunbeds on Kendwa Rocks beach which is nice and close, and very good for Kendwa - so it is almost like this hotel is "beachfront".

Cons:

I think they had some problems with the pool while we were there, so it was emptied out at times, filters didn't work at times - so it was barely usable - but you don't come to Zanzibar for the pool, heh. Also the power cuts are very often, but that doesn't have anything to do with the hotel itself.

Excellent, si un jour je peux, j’y reviens!!!!
Pros:

Tout était très bien.
L’accès à la plage nous a été montré par le personnel de l’accueil.
Petit déjeuner très bon, les repas sont excellents .piscine très agréable.
Le repas du soir, pris au bord de la piscine, c’était tout simplement les cadre parfait!!!

Cons:

La clim dans la chambre est un peu bruyante.
Mais surtout lors des coupures d’électricité, le bruit des groupes est un peu désagréable.
