A very nice hotel I would definitely go back
Pros:

Very nice & different, a couple of nice -pubs in the village about 5, miles from Scarborough which you can get a bus too,

Cons:

No bar or tv in the room

It was a pleasant and quirky find!
Pros:

Cober Hill is a lovely, quirky/old glamour hotel. It was peaceful and our room was lovely, with a view onto the main garden and croquet area. Our boys enjoyed the games room and tennis court. The staff were pleasant and friendly. Nice village location and walkable to the sea. Breakfast was nice and we didn’t have to rush off after check out time - wandered around the gardens some more, played croquet and then enjoyed cake and scones in one of the lounges.

Cons:

The furniture in the bedroom could do with an update, however after reading about the hotel’s history, how it is used, came to be and how it is still evolving, we can totally understand that up-keep is very costly.

Pros:

The grounds and the breakfast.

Cons:

The shower couldn't get it to work. Descided to have a strip wash and as I finished the shower started on its own. Also no information as to how to enter rhe building if you are out late. Only by luck did we find out the code was on our key.

Only a short car drive or taxi from Scarborough, and set it its own beautiful grounds.
Pros:

Beautiful building and grounds.
Very friendly staff, especially Sue.

Pros:

Breakfast was lovely and appreciated the inclusion of vegan sausages. Room had a lovely sea view and overall the hotel felt really relaxing. Only stayed there for one night but if I was to revist Scarborough I would happily stay here again. There are two car parks for this hotel which is beneficial as you don't need to worry about street parking. Staff were friendly and informative.

A very comfortable, welcoming and accomodating hotel with character
Pros:

The unique feel of the property was so pleasant
Every member of staff was friendly and very helpful
The grounds offered opportunity to wander or participate in any of the games and

Pros:

It's the perfect place to stay for gigs at the open air theatre. Reasonably priced. Staff booked a taxi for us. It's just got a great feel. It's a place for school residentials during the week so don't expect a plush hotel. It's functional, clean, comfortable, friendly, flexible. Sun shone, we picnicked on the lawn chatting to staff. Would always stay there when at a concert. Third stay. Thank you!

Pros:

Second time we have stayed here. Great location and just a 10 minute drive to north bay. We visited both times as we were going to a concert at the open air theatre. Staff were very friendly and breakfast was fab. No tv in the room but that was actually a refreshing change. Lovely spot.
