Oasis Inn Apartments

Loud aircon and ceiling fan went from one extreme to another , was not wired properly , was given one towel for 2 adults and reception was never occupied. Bright light in room , no lamp , no blanket just a sheet . And a cockroach on the microwave!!!

Dirty pool, unable to swim due to a very dark green pool. Bugs in the room. I booked for 4 people and they gave us one towel.
Extremely noisy at night..no blow dryer, I have never been in a place without this facility. Old furniture and very smelly room, we have to spray Glen20 to stay in.

The shower floor and walls had black mould. The stove was filthy,cockroaches in the toaster.no plug in sink,no garbage bags,we had to take out garbage to outside bin.one couch was badly torn and covered with a stained throw.there was a bad smell like gas we told them but they didn't come and check.

Looks run down and dirty. No ash trays for smokes in and around the motel. I don't see the point of closing reception during the day on weekends. Cairns is a tourist town and budget tourist would like places like Oasis to stay. Price is great but the rooms are not really my kind of motel that I'll go back to visit soon.

It seemed to be ‘dirty’ in the main room and very run down including the pillows. It seemed like when something broke it was replaced with something smaller or not at all. No milk and very little coffee. We felt uncomfortable touching anything and were glad to leave.

Residents screaming at midnight, shower head didn't stay up

A lot of things need minor repairs. Lack of attendance at the office?
Not everything advertised was provided. Limited kitchen supplies.
More information required required towel and sheet changing.

Very old, interesting clientel. Pool broken and closed. Couch filfthy, cupboards broken. Rooms smelt like cigarettes. I think being used for overflow government housing. There were small children awake yelling in room all night.

Everything was ok.

I want to say there were many things that needed attention to this time for my stay:

I stayed in Room 9 and noted the following problems:

1. the fridge is broken - food items such as milk went off in our short stay (less than a week) - the freezer worked fine.
2. a glass in the kitchen had a sharp edge and was "unsafe" to drink from
3. a mug split once hot water was added to make coffee
4. there was debris under the cushions on the couch
5. the rear door has a light which was not working - light bulb needed replacing or light needed repair
6. the air conditioner at 18 degrees (lowest setting) felt like on fan mode (needs maintenance).
7. the ceiling fans had one speed which was fast or stop out of 1, 2, 3 or off
8. the light in the bedroom with single beds was a faulty and only worked occasionally
9. bathroom vanity door was broken and stiff.
10. the floors were slippery with substance (noticeable when walking around without shoes)
11. the remote control for the TV was not working - had to use my own AAA batteries from a device I had brought since front office did not have replacement batteries
12. the pool was closed and had green pigmentation areas spotting the whole pool with signs of no maintenance

I raise these concerns so that it can be addressed so that I can return in the future to stay without bias.

The pool was green and out of service. The room was very basic and dated. The hot water took forever to come through. There were no blankets only a sheet provided. There was no milk or tea bags only coffee and sugar sachets. The air conditioner was noise and didn't really cool the room down. The road noise was quite loud.

It’s was poor management .rooms are dirty and stinky

Nous avons séjourné à quatre dans cet appartement la semaine dernière, et malheureusement l’expérience a été très décevante du début à la fin.

À notre arrivée, l’appartement était dans un état de saleté inacceptable. J’ai dû aller chercher de quoi nettoyer et passer près de deux heures à faire le ménage moi-même pour que nous puissions nous sentir un minimum à l’aise. Malgré cela, le logement restait globalement très sale.

Dès la première nuit, la situation s’est encore aggravée : le vélo de mon ami a été volé. Nous avons demandé l’accès aux caméras de surveillance afin de pouvoir déposer plainte avec des éléments concrets, mais cela ne nous a jamais été fourni. Sans images ni aide de l’établissement, il nous a été impossible de faire une déposition correcte.

Par ailleurs, l’appartement est extrêmement bruyant et très mal isolé. Les fenêtres sont défectueuses : certaines ne se ferment pas correctement, d’autres ne s’ouvrent pas, ce qui rend le séjour encore plus inconfortable.

En résumé, rien n’était à la hauteur : propreté, sécurité, confort… tout est à revoir. Nous ne recommandons absolument pas cet établissement.
