Nothing fancy, but very functional for an overnight stay. Staff was helpful when needed.
Pros:

The location was very convenient for me. The breakfast was perfect for someone who has food issues and finds it hard to eat in Japan. Loved that there was a window that opened to receive fresh air. This was very important to me.

Cons:

The Forest Air spray was detected on my pillow which caused me to start coughing due to the allergens used in the product. Unfortunately I was very highly sensitive to chemicals at the time I spent the night.

Convenient location but the cleanliness and maintenance issues seriously impacted the overall experience.
Pros:

The hotel’s location in Kyoto was convenient and the staff responded when I reported the issues with the first room. After I showed them the photos of the dirt and grime/mold, they arranged a room change. The second room was somewhat better than the first but not a drastic upgrade in cleanliness.

Cons:

Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the property was far below what I would expect from any hotel. The first room appeared poorly maintained and unsanitary. I found black residue/lint or possible mold in multiple areas, including the walls and shower curtain. The hallway carpets throughout every single floor level were heavily stained with dark patches and visible grime. Inside the room, there was a noticeable buildup of dust and dirt between the mini fridge, desk, and walls, suggesting the area had not been properly vacuumed or cleaned in a long time.

The bed sheet also had visible stains, which was what initially prompted me to contact the front desk. While waiting for staff to replace the bedding, I inspected the rest of the room more closely and found additional cleanliness concerns, including a dirty microwave and even a dirty first tissue pulled from the tissue box. I documented everything with photos and showed them to staff.

Although the hotel moved me to another room afterward, the replacement room still did not meet the standard of cleanliness and upkeep I expect from a hotel stay.

Tres propre, la chambre pour une personne super, pour deux c’est limite mais c’est possible. Un bain sauna accessible, un lit très confortable, attention à votre réservation je pensais avoir prit non fumeur mais c’était une chambre fumeur (pas trop d’odeur ça allait).
Sinon endroit calme, 7 min à pieds du métro ou à 1 minute des bus, 7eleven à 2 min, sinon très bon rapport qualité prix

Cons:

Fer a repassé jamais disponible car prit pas d’autres chambres, sinon très bien

A good value for money
Pros:

Walking distance from the Nijo castle, bus stops very near (40 min ride to Gion), a 7-Eleven store nearby, a few local restaurants nearby too, rather quiet neighbourhood, not so tourist packed but we felt safe
