We took the mountain view deluxe room. It was very spacious and extremely well maintained. Location is right on the mall

Pros:

This is an exceptionally beautiful Tibetan style hotel. Absolutely stunning decorations and with all modern comfortable rooms. I had a room with a view to the mountains with huge windows. The location is perfect if you want to be in the thick of things. Staff were extremely kind and thoughtful. I rarely gush over hotels but this one is truly great. Huge breakfast as well with delicious food available all day.

Cons:

Everything about this hotel was great, they even stored by bag whole I trekked for 4 days.

Nice location. Good breakfast layout and good food.

Cons:

It's a 250 m walk from the nearest taxi drop point. And Zoo is around 1 km away. Else no issue with the stay.

. So, rooms do not have fans/AC- 2 windows are there but you cannot keep them open as monkeys come in. I thought they were joking and kept it open for some time as it was getting all stuffy. 5 min later, I found a monkey sitting comfortably on the chair eating sugar and biscuits. Then he went through our open bags, took food packets and left.
So, basically poor ventilation in the rooms.
. Location is on the mall road but right opposite horse stables.
. Rooms need some maintenance
. We were charged around 12000 for attic room . Small room and no other facilities at all in comparison to any other room . 6k extra for a clearer view of the valley! ( that view is seen from lower floor rooms as well).

the location is awesome very close to the main market...everything is easily accesssible

Cons:

the car doesnt go upto the hotel.... one has to get down 500mts away and hire a porter for luggage.. if it rains which it can then it can be a bit of problem...

Pros:

I booked this place for my parents' anniversary and they were on their own so I was constantly talking to Philip from the hotel making arrangements. From what I heard from my parents it was a wonderful stay. Couldn't have been better. Philip and the other staff really took care of everything so a big thank you the team

Spacious & spotless rooms, good breakfast buffet. Staff was prompt, warm, and incredibly friendly.

The food menu had many options, but many of them were not available.

Everything was great ,the room had a great view, the staff was polite and very helpful..the main market is literally 50 steps from the hotel..the hotel staff was very responsive and the restaurant in the hotel is also very good prices were also reasonable
