Enjoyable stay in a lovely town!
Pros:

The location is excellent.
Right on the harbour in Ilfracombe, beautiful.
We had a deluxe double room with a bath that looked out over the harbour.
The room itself was very nice, clean and quirky in an old-fashioned way.

Cons:

The bathroom was a little bit tired but quite often they are in these older hotels.
Could do with a freshen up. If nothing else perhaps re-point the grouting and give it a good hard clean. But it was okay for our stay. It wouldn't stop us going back.

We didn't eat or drink in the bar or restaurant.
But why would you in ilfracombe. There is such a large choice of other places to go.

The bar tended to be filled with middle-aged locals but hey, the hotel needs to make his money somehow and there's no way it can rely on guests for the restaurant or bar when there is so much more local competition.

Lovely
Pros:

Lovely big clean room with beautiful views. Bed was very comfortable.

Cons:

The only negative was the shampoo provided. There was no conditioner and it left my hair feeling awful.

Great location with pub and food available.
Pros:

The hotel is in an excellent position by the quay, the staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Downstairs was a pub with food. Paid parking is available nearby (it is hard to find any free parking in Ilfracombe, although some is available if you have a blue badge).

Cons:

The room was rather dark as some of the lights did not work. We did not report this simply because we were up and out very early each morning, but felt that had we done so, it would have been dealt with as the staff were super helpful.
