Lage war super, Frühstück war vielfältigt, mit dem Parkplatz hat alles super geklappt, die Mitarbeiter/innen waren sehr freundlich

Cons:

Die Luft im Doppelzimmer war stickig und hat nach Essen gerochen, nach dem Lüften aber alles i.O.

Very cozy hotel in great location.
Pros:

Easy walk to bahnhof and located right in the heart of the old town. Very nice breakfast. If you stay 3 nights or more you get a holiday card good for rail travel in the area and on some cable cars! Exceptionally clean hotel with nice soaking tub in bathroom. You don’t hear the church bells with the windows closed!

Enttäuschender Aufenthalt trotz freundlichem Personal
Cons:

Der Aufenthalt im Hotel war leider nicht besonders angenehm. Das Zimmer war trotz eingeschalteter Heizung sehr kalt, sodass mein Sohn und ich uns während des Aufenthalts erkältet haben.

Ausserdem finde ich es nicht normal, dass die Heizung bei unserer Ankunft nicht bereits eingeschaltet war und wir das Zimmer selbst erst aufwärmen mussten, besonders bei den niedrigen Temperaturen.

Darüber hinaus hatten die Kissen und das Bett einen unangenehmen Geruch, sodass es den Eindruck machte, als wären die Bettwäsche und die Laken nicht richtig sauber gewesen, was sehr unangenehm war.

Positiv hervorheben möchte ich jedoch das Personal, das stets sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und hilfsbereit war. Ebenfalls gut ist die zentrale Lage des Hotels.

Abgesehen davon haben wir uns während unseres Aufenthalts leider nicht wohlgefühlt.

A charming stay...
Pros:

The location is ideal. The breakfast is great. But above all, the hotel has charm of its own. I was "transported to another world", so to speak. Such is the ambiance of the lodging. And icing on the cake: additionally to the appliances they offer, they provide the necessary to clean your ears!

Cons:

The view from my room was beautiful. However it was obstructed by buildings and a crane for constructions. Without that minor issue, my stay would have perfect! Demolish those buildings now (just kidding)!

Super Lage und nettes Personal
Pros:

Zentrale Lage und sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal, gutes Frühstücksbuffet, großes Badezimmer

Cons:

Wir hatten unsere Fenster direkt gegenüber der Kirche. Die Glocken läuten hier zu jeder Viertel-Stunde (auch in der Nacht durchgehend), dies war etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig

Pros:

Tolle Lage mitten in Appenzell. Man ist umgeben von einer Vielzahl von Gasthäusern und touristisch interessanten Geschäften und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Alles (Kirche, Museen, Kloster, Einkäufe, Gasthäuser) in Gehdistanz.

Cons:

Das Zimmer konnte zwar erst um 15 Uhr bezogen werden, aber beim Check-out wurde schon um 11 Uhr unangenehm auf dessen Abgabe (telefonisch und, nachdem ich nicht antwortete, mit Klopfen an der Tür) gepocht.
