**A deeply disappointing half-term stay — serious room problems and no advertised entertainment**
Pros:

The views were lovely, the beach club was nice, and the showers were very good, with plenty of hot water. We also loved the cats and kittens and were pleased to see a cat feeding station.

The advertising certainly made the resort look appealing, showing a busy entertainment schedule, a nightclub and plenty to do. Unfortunately, those expectations were not met during our stay, as explained below.

Cons:

Our stay at Acapulco Hotel in Kyrenia spoiled the half-term holiday I had planned with my 16-year-old daughter.

Our first room had no working air conditioning and was unbearably hot. It was beside the lift and extremely noisy, with poor sound insulation. When staff said they could not fix the AC, they moved us to a room with a broken TV and telephone.

We then discovered that the entertainment program had finished two weeks earlier, something we were not told when booking. There were no fitness classes, and the nightclub was only open for private events. With a teenager, no entertainment and no working TV made the evenings miserable. The isolated location made going elsewhere difficult.

The food was poor and repetitive, with flies around the buffet. The restaurants were disappointing too. The spa was dated, and my hammam scrub took place in a shared area with people talking loudly and walking past. Only when I asked was I told that a private room required advance booking. Smoking was widespread.

Most concerningly, we found what appeared to be faecal stains on the duvet. We reported this, but the bedding was not changed.

From the first night, we repeatedly requested a refund so we could leave, explaining that the stay was not as advertised. Our requests went unanswered, and WhatsApp messages were left unread. I have screenshots. The hotel offered a free restaurant meal, which did not address the problems. We also sought help from Booking.com customer service but received no response.

We paid for a holiday and spent it chasing repairs and asking for help. Poor maintenance, cleanliness concerns, unavailable entertainment and inadequate complaint handling made this a deeply disappointing stay. I would not return or recommend it.

Biz eşimle gittiğimiz için standart bungalov tercih ettik ama çocuklarla gidilecekse kesinlikle havuza veya denize yakın daha aydınlık odalar tercih edilmedi. odalardaki kullanılan mobilyalar estetik açıdan yetersiz ve kullanışsız olduğunu düşünüyorum. onun dışında oda temizliğine biraz daha özen gösterilmeli.

- if you really want to make a difference and bring Acapulco to the next level: train your staff to smile
- offer protein shakes at the gym. Many would be interested and willing to pay for.
- Make Esra more visible than the other front desk employees to ensure she is recognized for what she does. Would have loved to connect with her earlier

It's just perfect. One of our best holidays so far and would definitely love to visit for a 3rd time

Everything about Acapulco was amazing! From reception to departure, nothing went wrong, sincerely. The staff is super polite, multilingual, and professional; the open pufet concept has vast varieties of cuisines and delicacies, the beach, swimming pools, amenities and accessibility to all and each was so seamless and joyful. Pleasant scenaries and careful care, beautiful design blending comfort, nature and professionalism in one place. In addition to all, the resort is environmentally friendly. Genuine appreciation and special thanks to the receptionist, Ms. Esra and the management team.

Cons:

I only wished a direct transfer option from the airport would have been possible. We had to find reliable services with a logical price, but unfortunately we ended up going to the city center first and take another ride from there which extended the travel time.
