Pros:

Ideal location for sight seeing and convenient council operated car par was directly adjacent. Great art deco furnishings in the room. would probably return.

Cons:

The listing on Booking.com stated that breakfast was included. Is should have specifically mentioned that a 'continental' breakfast was included. For the price paid I would have expected a full English breakfast.

From arrival we were taken back by the building itself, beautiful decor , fantastic room and we didn’t want to leave
Pros:

It was a beautiful historical building and the features had been kept beautifully whilst complimented with very stylish decor

Ok but could be so much better.

Very spacious rooms comfy beds

Cons:

Strange set up that doesn’t make the most of the building or facilities. No one in the bar. Breakfast area far too small, chairs rickety, cooked breakfast is an additional charge. The “selection of meat and cheese on the breakfast buffet is one type of cheese and one meat”! Room comfortable but windows rattled all night and it wasn’t even a windy night.

Mixed bag!
Pros:

Staff were very helpful and polite.
Had food in the restaurant and it was very good

Cons:

Had to change rooms as our first room had mould around shower and lots of stains on carpet. Staff were great though!

Poor sleep as l was over air con unit or something similar.

Cons:

Odd place to stay. Empty of people, didn’t feel very safe people could walk into the bar and into the hotel. Awful taste in decor. However bed was comfy with spotless linen

Would return to the hotel just a few tweaks needed to make it exceptional
Pros:

Fantastic location and tastefully decorated. Sally in the Bar was fantastic.

Cons:

Breakfast selection not great, room not cleaned or fresh towels given on the 2nd day. Sally got us fresh towels.

We liked the property very much but the cleanliness of the bathroom could have been better and the bed making was not very good.
