Location is fantastic and the hotel has a great vibe about it. Love that you can pop upstairs for a tasty bakery treat at AP Bakery and downstairs for a beautiful wine at Poly.
Service was really disappointing - we arrived drenched from the rain and front desk couldn't have cared less. Having stayed in many high end hotels across Sydney, this is the first one that I don't think deserves the pay point it is sitting in.
Great location, in the heart of Surry Hills and close to public transportation and restaurants/cafes

The location is fantastic and we always stay in Surry Hills due to the proximity to the city, Paddington and surrounding Surry Hills. Very cool hotel with very spacious and stylish rooms. Super comfortable and beautiful amenities in the room. Love the cafe both downstairs and on the rooftop as well as Poly restaurant downstairs. It's a self sufficient stay, with the minimart vending machines to purchase snacks and more room amenities and drinks
Very minor, but check in was a little clunky. Seeing that the rest of the hotel is quite self sufficient, it would have been easier and quicker to check in ourselves.

the breakfast was great , and very complete & varied , in a very popular spot . We liked the wooden tub ... and the linen , duvet and pillows were great ... the complimentary teas were used & appreciated ... and loved the complimentary beverage when we arrived , and the nightly sparkling water on our room door every evening , a good touch
the room was a little small, and difficult to block the sunlight that pours in at day break ( ie very early in summer) . The shower had an impossible shower curtain arrangement , admitedly made impossible by the stand alone wooden tub . Lastly, there was a large truck that kept collecting trash early morning below our window, made more outstanding by the fact that the area is very quiet

Loved the location, the mini mart downstairs! We loved A.P Bakery! Staff were very friendly and we loved the complimentary lemon water aswell. The automatic shade curtains were also a stand out!
Some sockets and lamps didn't work. Could use more cushions on the couch we ended up using the pillows on the bed.
