Great location and very clean
Pros:

Location, friendliness of staff, quietness, generally very clean.

Cons:

Rooms a bit outdated (but very clean), carpark didn't feel very safe - shared with a vehicle recovery business - no cctv visible.

Nice Weekend Away
Pros:

Very close to the pier, right in front plenty of bus stops - the staff was friendly and very nice. The building is nice, even if dated, and well kept. The breakfast was delicious.

Cons:

They have no aircon, hence sleeping was impossible as it was incredibly hot in the room, cleaning could be better.

Wonderful as always
Pros:

Stayed at the Royal Esplanade before and know what to expect. Excellent location, excellent staff and lovely hotel. Although, the hotel is starting to look a little tired, it’s clean and always a pleasure to be there.

Cons:

Nothing.
Would like an iron and ironing board in the room.
Two bottles of water in the room would be a nice touch (especially in the heat).

Great for our occasion. Thank you.
Pros:

Location, breakfast, staff, terrace bar, shower

Cons:

Not enough plugs in room. The main 2 for kettle, chargers, hairdryer etc were virtually inaccessible behind the coffee cabinet which I had to pull out to reach.

Cons:

The shower in the room was tiny my husband’s head hit the ceiling it was very difficult for him to shower. The toilet was so close to the wall we had to sit on it sideways. We were put in a room the top of the building. All we could hear all night was what I could only describe as someone dragging furniture around it kept us awake for the two nights we were there.
