The food was lovely. The staff were friendly. The building and surroundings were pretty.
The only thing missing was air conditioning.
Beautiful old building well maintained.
Nothing
Staff were excellent. All were friendly, helpful, professional and genuinely seemed to enjoy their jobs. There is no lift but a member of staff happily carried my case upstairs to my room. Plenty of parking. Rooms dated but spotless. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast options.
No lift.
There is great personnel and then there's Farington Lodge. Their calm, professional, friendly attitude is delightful and they're ready to solve even the most ridiculously difficult problem. I won't go into details but they found something that we had lost despite it being a lost cause!
Absolutely nothing
Very friendly helpful staff, quick service. Peaceful location, Attractive building and garden. Easy parking.
Nothing we can think of.
We enjoyed our stay; the staff were excellent, and the food was excellent too. The room we had, 22, was large, with a small TV for the room size. I think the room required updating. Bed very uncomfortable (low and hard), and dust was sitting in the folds of the red velvet curtains.
The staff were extremely warm and helpful. Breakfast was tasty and the bed comfortable.
The Farington Lodge is extremely dated and in need of rejuvenation. The first room we stayed in was clean, albeit dated with damp spots around the ceiling. During our stay it was 32 degrees and none of the bedrooms have air-conditioning. Some of the windows were also sealed shut and unable to be opened. This made getting ready and attempting to sleep in the room unbearable. When we asked whether there was a fan available, we were told they didn’t have any. We had to request to stay in a different room, which was slightly cooler and the windows could open. Again, the room was clean but very dated. We slept with the window open due to the heat and at around 08:30am, gardening work began right outside with a leaf blower going for around an hour. Upon check out, the cleaning staff had started tidying the rooms with the doors open. We noticed each room being cleaned had a working fan in the room, being used by the staff. Slightly frustrating as when we asked for this, we were told that there were no fans available. I wouldn’t stay at the Farington Lodge again. It’s dated aesthetic doesn’t allow for a feeling of a modern, luxury stay.
Farington Lodge Hotel is excellent giving a comfortable and relaxing stay in an ideal location, meals were first class and good value, we look forward to our next visit.
The shower in our room would benefit from some upgrading.
Wij hadden een hele ruime kamer aan de koele en rustige zijde van het gebouw ver weg van de festiviteiten/evenementen
Loved the room we had and the reception staff were really helpful and friendly.
The food was particularly below par for such a nice establishment.
Overcooked fried eggs (rubbery texture), microwaved scrambled eggs, very dry black pudding, probably microwaved.
The reception staff were appropriately dressed but the bar manager/restaurant manager needs help in this direction.
In short, apart from the nice room, the nice reception staff, the premier inn serves better food.
Location, the property and staff were excellent. Food was good.
Cleaniness of the room could improve. Curtains and nets were dirty and could do with replacing. Shower tray wasn't very clean and could do with replacing. Room would benefit from redecorating.
Rooms were modern and clean. Great bar and the food was excellent.
No gym or pool. I read online that the hotel used to have an arrangement with FX Leisure Club. But reception wasn't aware when I asked.
The hotel was lovely and the rooms were huge, breakfast was good and the staff very friendly.
The bathroom was great so big and the shower was excellent.
Nothing

Faded grandeur. Very clean. Attentive staff. Excellent breakfasts
Room was stiflingly hot.
Fish and chips was large portion but the fish was overcooked to the point of being dry.
