Pros:

If you are looking for silver linings, this hotel has exactly three: the location is strategic and very close to the main monuments, the air conditioning works, and there is a fridge in the room. Aside from these few basic conveniences, there isn't much else to praise.

Cons:

The bedroom
The room is tiny, cramped, and features a layout that makes no sense. The wardrobe is tucked behind a wall in a completely unlit corner where the main room light can't reach. It was pitch black at night, meaning I could only access my clothes during the day via the window light. At night, I had to use my phone's flashlight just to pick an outfit, which felt more like a camping trip than a hotel stay. That's not even mentioning the lack of a bedside lamp. The walls and doors might as well be made of paper. I had to listen to the entire conversation of the people next door, not to mention a symphony of snoring and flatulence from the rest of the building. Zero privacy.

The bathroom
The bathroom managed to be both tiny and a complete disaster. You have to aggressively slam the door just to get it to close, which is great for waking up the entire floor at 3 AM. The sink tap acts like a stray sprinkler, spraying you with water before you even touch the shower. When you do try to shower, you're treated to zero water pressure and a violent guessing game between boiling hot and freezing cold water. Combine that with a strong sewer smell that lingers for hours and the lovely ambient soundtrack of everyone else's toilets flushing day and night, and it’s easily one of the worst hotel bathrooms I've encountered.

The service
Getting basic service here is exhausting. I asked for two extra pillows at 4 PM and was treated to a massive attitude from the receptionist who said he'd bring them later. Three hours later? Nothing. When I went back down to remind him, he begrudgingly offered me a single, bare pillow with no pillowcase—because apparently, basic hygiene is an optional extra here. The funniest part? The second we checked out, this guy suddenly found his work ethic and dashed off to inspect our room immediately. I wish he’d moved that fast when I was waiting hours for a pillow.

We had a wonderful stay at Dedem Boutique Hotel Sultanahmet. The location is perfect, within walking distance of the main attractions such as the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and Grand Bazaar.

The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with any questions or requests. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making our stay very pleasant. The breakfast was fresh and delicious, offering a great start to the day.

The hotel provides excellent value for money, combining a fantastic location with warm hospitality and a cozy atmosphere. I would definitely recommend Dedem Boutique Hotel to anyone visiting Istanbul and would happily stay here again in the future.

Für eine mehrtägige Städtereise super geeignet!
Pros:

Die Lage ist sehr zentral. Schöne Bar direkt beim Hotel. Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend und bemühte sich sehr, dass wir das eher sehr kleine Zimmer wechseln konnten.

Cons:

Das gebuchte Zimmer (2 Einzelbetten gebucht) stimmte nicht mit jenem auf dem Bild auf der Buchungsplatform überein.
