Great location - the balcony provided an awesome view of the mountain, the homestay was easy to find, and located extremely close to the Bataras superstore, WWII memorial and the taxi stand, making it simple to get around town.

The host was very friendly, and despite the language barrier, it was very simple to find my room and feel welcome. There were very clear information sheets regarding how to use the shower, finding local restaurants and taxis, etc. that were extremely useful and made my stay very easy. Sink, kettle, cutlery and plates/bowls/mugs were good for coffee and pot noodles. All other amenities were great - fan, towels and soap/shampoo were all there.

Recommend this homestay for a getaway and to live like a local in the beautiful city of Kundasang.

Cons:

Could not find the hob.
Slightly pricey for what you get, but good value for money compared to other options in Kundasang.

Good and happy stay!
Pros:

Easy to locate with What’sApp communication, about 400m (<10mins) walk from bus drop off point at main road; in-house staff (Ms Riya) was very helpful with transportation (rather difficult here) and general stuff, booked private transport to/fro Kinabalu Park via her. My room has good panoramic view of Mt Kinabalu Peaks! For general convenience, there is a Chinese restaurant just around the corner (1min walk), Bataras supermarket (3mins walk) and of course town centre for more foodstuffs.

Sehr angenehme Unterkunft.
Pros:

Sehr großes Dreibettzimer, großer Balkon mit Bergblick. Nur 750 m bis zur Bushaltestelle zu laufen.

Cons:

Die Kopfkissen sind viel zu hart und rechteckig. Man schläft nicht gut darauf.

Price is cheap but don’t expect much. Just a village style home stay.
Pros:

Nearby have restaurant and market. Easy to access.

Cons:

Water pressure for shower too low and if long time open it will cut off need to wait for another 20min. Mattress spring out of quality and a bit hard to sleep.

Pros:

Lokasi strategik, sangat dekat dgn Pekan Kundasang & sekitarnya. Bilik view gunung sangat cantik. Ada salah faham sikit tentang bilik masa kami menginap tapi madam ownernya sangat baik dan membantu. House keeper juga sangat baik.

Cons:

Fasiliti pinggan mangkuk terhad, cawan juga tak sesuai kalau nak buat minuman panas. Water heater berfungsi dgn baik tapi brand China yg unfamiliar dan kena hati2 baca instructions kalau nak on

Charming room, with great views, just needs some refining.
Pros:

We liked the central location as it was close to the main square & also to the tourist attraction via short car journeys. The view was stunning from the bedroom window, very cool to wake up to & the room itself was a generous size & had a private balcony.

Cons:

The walls are very thin, so found it tough to get to sleep both nights as the guests upstairs were active during the night. Also the pillow was a sofa pillow, not a bed pillow.
