Jaisalmer Murad Haveli

Our six-night stay at Murad Haveli Hotel was truly magical from beginning to end. Everything was absolutely perfect. The rooms were spotless, beautifully decorated, and incredibly comfortable. The food was delicious, and the breathtaking rooftop view of the Golden Fort made every moment feel special.
What impressed us most was the kindness, warmth, and professionalism of the entire team, who made us feel welcome from the very first day. Their genuine hospitality created a wonderful atmosphere that made us feel completely at home in Jaisalmer.
We also joined a desert safari organized by the hotel and spent an unforgettable night under the stars in the beautiful Thar Desert. The whole experience was perfectly arranged, from the camel ride through the golden dunes to the delicious traditional dinner by the campfire. Meeting wonderful people along the way made the adventure even more special, and it became one of the most memorable highlights of our trip to India.

We had a lovely stay with Hasim and the entire team. From the moment I booked the room, Hasim stayed in touch and made sure everything was perfect for us — even arranging pickup from the train station.

The rooms were huge, with massive and super comfortable beds, and the rooftop offers the most wonderful view of the fort.

Everyone on the team was friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. All you had to do was ask Hasim, and he would arrange anything for you.

The overnight camel safari they organised was truly a dream come true — sleeping under the stars on white bed linen in the middle of the desert was an unforgettable experience.

And the paneer paratha for breakfast is definitely the breakfast of champions!

Ein unvergesslicher Aufenthalt in Jaisalmer

Dies war wahrlich die beste Erfahrung, die ich je bei einem Aufenthalt irgendwo in meinem Leben gemacht habe.

Von Anfang an hat sich Hasim weit über das übliche Maß hinaus für uns eingesetzt. Er bot sogar an, uns vom Bahnhof abzuholen obwohl unser Zug bis 2 Uhr nachts Verspätung hatte , und empfing uns bei unserer Ankunft mit heißem Chai. Diese Herzlichkeit gab uns sofort das Gefühl, zu Hause zu sein.

Das Hotel und die Zimmer waren außergewöhnlich sauber, die Betten sehr bequem und der Blick von der Dachterrasse auf das „Golden Fort“ absolut wunderschön. Der Chai und die Bananen-Pancakes waren köstlich, und das Mango-Lassi war ehrlich gesagt das beste, das wir während unseres gesamten einmonatigen Aufenthalts in Indien getrunken haben.

Was diesen Aufenthalt jedoch wirklich besonders machte, war Hasims Gastfreundschaft. Während unseres gesamten Besuchs gab er uns das Gefühl, zur Familie zu gehören. Er begleitete mich persönlich zu einem örtlichen Barbier, einem Schneider und einer Apotheke und stellte dabei sicher, dass ich überall fair behandelt wurde. Einer der unvergesslichsten Momente war die Einladung, gemeinsam mit seiner Familie eine Mahlzeit auf ihrer Kreuzkümmel-Farm vor den Toren der Stadt einzunehmen eine so aufrichtige und unvergessliche Erfahrung.

Wir krönten unsere Reise mit einer privaten Kamelsafari mit Übernachtung; ein unglaubliches Erlebnis zu einem äußerst fairen Preis von 3500 INR vor allem in Anbetracht dessen, dass Abendessen, Frühstück, der Jeep-Transfer, die Kamele und alles Weitere, was für dieses Abenteuer nötig war, bereits im Preis inbegriffen waren. Unter dem Sternenhimmel der Wüste zu schlafen, nachdem wir zuvor am Lagerfeuer Chai getrunken hatten das ist etwas, das ich niemals vergessen werde.

Falls Sie Jaisalmer besuchen, tun Sie sich selbst einen Gefallen und übernachten Sie genau hier.

Nous y avons passé 5 nuit et fait un safari. Tout était vraiment impeccable. La vue sur le fort est magnifique. La nourriture est excellente et les chambre sont vraiment incroyable. Tout le monde est super gentil et très attentionnés avec nous. Le safari était vraiment incroyable. Je remercie chaleureusement l'hôtel Murad haveli pour cette magnifique expérience et son professionnalisme.

This hotel is the only place to book when visiting Jaisalmer! Perfectly clean rooms, a beautiful rooftop terrace, freshly cooked and delicious food and most importantly, the best staff ever. From the moment I arrived, I felt like part of the family. They took such great care of me, and as a female solo traveler, I always felt completely safe and comfortable here.

I also booked the non-touristic desert safari, and it turned out to be one of the best experiences of my life. We enjoyed a camel ride, cooked food over the fire, watched a magical sunset, visited the ghost village and a small local village, and slept under the stars in the desert. It was truly unforgettable.

I cannot recommend this hotel, Hasim, and the entire team enough. If you don’t stay here, you are seriously missing out!

Murad Haveli – Super Hosts at the Edge of Jaisalmer Fort

Murad Haveli is a very clean and well-maintained hotel offering a high standard of comfort, but what truly makes it stand out are the “super hosts.” The owner, Hasim, and the team are exceptionally guest-oriented, polite, and attentive, taking care of every detail — from your comfort at the hotel to organizing experiences like the desert safari. You genuinely feel looked after at all times.

The rooftop restaurant and bar with its beautiful Golden Fort view is a real highlight. It serves freshly prepared, high-quality food and has become a social hub where international travelers — including guests from nearby hostels — come together for breakfast, masala chai, pancakes, and storytelling.

Located on the of the fort, right beside the fort wall, the hotel is about 300 meters from the main entrance It’s not completely tranquil, but noticeably less noisy than the busy center — a very good balance between accessibility and calmness.

After our night bus from Pushkar, Rahim (the manager) kindly collected us from the bus stop as part of the hotel’s service. By sunrise, we were already enjoying chai on the rooftop terrace.

Our desert safari was very well organized with genuine local desert villagers as guides. Riding camels and being physically close to these calm and impressive animals was a truly authentic experience. Cooking outdoors and sleeping under the stars made it unforgettable.

European travelers may arrive with an idealized image of the Thar Desert, and reality can be slightly different — even 70 km outside the city, wind turbines are visible. However, this reflects the reality of modern life and the increasing energy needs of villages and cities rather than taking away from the experience itself.

An excellent location for exploring the city. This charming, traditional building offers spacious and cozy rooms that make you feel instantly at home. The rooftop terrace doubles as a delightful restaurant, providing a lovely atmosphere to relax and enjoy your meals.

The staff is warm and welcoming, and the owner, Hasim, is especially helpful. They truly go above and beyond to pamper their guests—even arranging cold beers on request—and did a perfect job organizing our desert jeep tour experience.

I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for comfort, hospitality, and an authentic stay.

L'hôte est très sympathique et arrangeant. Il nous a permis d'arriver plus tôt et de partir plus tard, c'était très pratique.
Notre chambre était très confortable, particulièrement la literie qui est vraiment extra.
L'Haveli est très bien situé tout en étant très calme.
Le rooftop est très agréable pour prendre le petit déjeuner, avec une vue splendide.
Le WiFi est également très bon.
Il n'y a rien à redire sur le logement, nous le recommandons les yeux fermés.

Accoglienza cordiale, staff gentilissimo e sempre disponibile. Il motto era "feel like at home". Colazione e cena in terrazza sempre preparate al momento con cibi freschi. Disponibile anche la birra. Camera e letto confortevoli. Ci hanno organizzato un'escursione in jeep nel deserto, con cena tra le dune e sotto le stelle . Bella esperienza ad un prezzo contenuto. Posizione centrale con vista sul forte.

A great location with rooftop views of the fort. Staff were super helpful and even went out to find us gin! Room was beautifully decorated and the bed so comfy. It's also just a short walk to the fort.

Fabulous location, best view of our whole 4 week trip. Delicious home cooked food to order, we ate on the lovely roof terrace every evening. Very nice room decor, incredible value for money. Very responsive, friendly staff. Well worth booking.

Am meisten gefallen hat uns die Gastfreundschaft die an den Tag gelegt wurde. Der Hotelbesitzer Hassim ist sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Das Essen hat auch sehr gut geschmeckt. Der Blick von der Dachterrasse auf das Fort war eine Augenweide. Wir würden jeden empfehlen, wenn man in Jasialmer ist dort vorbei zu schauen. Der Weg zum Fort vom Hotel beträgt in etwa 5 Minuten laufen. Vielen Dank für die Gastfreundschaft Hassim und Team wir wünschen euch weiterhin viel Erfolg :)

Posizione fantastica, host e personale gentilissimi, arredo molto particolare, non lontano dal Fort e altre attrazioni. Insieme alla città di Jaisalmer è una favola. Da ritornarci!

Rustig gelegen,met vanaf het dakterras een prachtig uitzicht op het fort.We hebben er heerlijk gegeten,en de 2 broers zijn heel vriendelijk!O en laat ik vooral het goede matras niet vergeten,in de gezellig ingerichte kamer!
