Please note on a Monday and Tuesday evening our kitchen opens for guests only, We offer a smaller menu.
On Sundays food is only served 12pm to 4pm

Very good will probably return when in the area
Pros:

The location was a little isolated although only five minutes in car to Bedale also a very convenient bus stop outside with services to other market towns, the breakfast was excellent with friendly staff

Cons:

Nothing to complain about, clean friendly place to stay with good car park on site

Pros:

Wonderful fresh white sheets and towels and generally so clean and tidy throughout.

Cons:

Upgraded to a kingsize room. This room was over the road and traffic noise would have disturbed me. Staff changed my room to a twin at the back.

Absolutely lovely staff, very clean rooms and great breakfast.

We have stayed here before so we knew what to expect and it was just as perfect as before and we have already booked for next year.

Perfect travel stop.
Pros:

It was very quiet, but despite this the staff were so friendly and I could have a meal in the bar and a beer. The room was nice, everything worked and car parking is free and available. For me it was a travel stop between Dover and north of Scotland, so being on the A1 was perfect. But I have to repeat - the staff were all so friendly and helpful.

Cons:

It was all nice except, but perhaps it's a Yorkshire thing to have mini packets of Kellogg's cereals. I'd prefer fresh fruit, muesli and yoghurt. Coffee was a bit bland.

A tad disappointed!
Pros:

The room was really spacious and comfortable.
The ensuite was lovely.
Nice and clean everywhere.
All the staff we came across were really friendly and accommodating.
The meal portions were huge! Not a bad choice of things on the menu, although one little niggle, will record that on things we didn't like!
The food was lovely! Breakfast had good choices.
The car park was big.

Cons:

Our friend asked for a salad, as it was so hot and she did not want a big meal.
The waitress went to ask the chef and came back with a "No".
We have never been anywhere where a chef does not know how to make a salad or does not wish to bother to make one to accommodate a guest request!
There were salads listed with other things on the menu!

So she left most of the dish she had ordered instead, a complete waste of money and time!

We would suggest you rectify this asap.

Pros:

We had a small but clean and comfortable room. Restaurant, bar and beer garden were large and nicely decorated. Plenty of food choice offerings for popular bar meals and very generous portions. Large car park was ideal but appeared to be used by non-customers.

Cons:

Room, bed & TV were a little too small for our liking in our double room. Unfortunately, the quality & quantity of our Full English breakfast deteriorated on our second morning, & the portion sizes for the mushrooms, bacon & beans were very noticeably smaller for some reason.

Great place to stop, just off the A1M and round the corner from the Wensleydale Heritage Railway.

Great little place, lovely staff, great food....recommended :)
Pros:

Excellent stay at The Reubens for my nephews wedding nearby. On arrival the staff were so helpful and we checked in early which was fab as needed to get changed an on our way to the church. The room was clean, kitted out with everything you would expect and even had aircon which was an unexpected bonus on a hot day!! Breakfast was superb, tea/coffee/juice all set out ready at 8am, and a freshly cooked full english with us really quickly. Overall fab staff, would 100% recommend.

I would consider a return visit but would require a larger room if two of us

Great location, very clean and friendly staff!

Very friendly staff. Very clean. Great location. Comfortable bed. Lovely bathroom. Felt safe and secure staying there alone for work. Thank you so much.

Cons:

It was a very hot day when I arrived. The room did not have a fan. I had my own portable small fan so it was ok but ideally a fan in the room would be ideal please.
