Not easy to book. When inquired at check in desk in person to book the stay we were told no rooms available. But booking .com had rooms available

Essen im TOLIP - Schlafen besser woanders

So wirklich richtig toll war leider gar nichts...

Cons:

Die Bilder im Internet und auch der erste Eindruck beim Betreten des Hotels waren wirklich gut.
Das war es dann aber auch schon. Der positive Eindruck wurde direkt von dem herablassenden Personal an der Rezeption zunichte gemacht.
Da ich Schlafprobleme habe, bat ich um ein möglichst ruhiges Zimmer… Wir hatten ein Familienzimmer gebucht… 4 Nächte für knapp 1200€…
Ruhige Zimmer gibt es in diesem Hotel nicht. Überall ist unfassbarer Lärm von den Straßen. Die Huperei der Autos geht rund um die Uhr ohne Pause. In der 7. Etage ist es durch die Straßenschluchten mit Hochhäusern so laut, als würde man auf dem Gehweg liegen.
Leider macht es auch kaum einen Unterschied, ob die Balkontüre komplett offen oder fest geschlossen ist. Keinerlei Schallisolierung.
Als dieses Hotel vor etwa 40 Jahren eröffnet wurde, war es ein Prachtbau und seiner Zeit sicherlich weit voraus. Leider ist da aber auch die Zeit stehen geblieben. Ganz offensichtlich wurde seither kein Cent mehr investiert. Daran hat auch die Übernahme durch die TOLIP Gruppe nichts geändert. Die ziemlich beschädigte Einrichtung der Zimmer stammt noch aus dieser Zeit und der Rest des Hotels, speziell die Badezimmer, gammelt vor sich hin. Der Zimmersafe hat nicht funktioniert und war eh nicht befestigt. Das WLAN ist unfassbar langsam und der uralte Fernseher hat nur das Hotelprogramm zu bieten. Die Klimaanlage wurde vermutlich noch nie gereinigt.
Lediglich die Matratzen waren ganz ok. Wirklich gut und freundlich vom Personal her war nur der Reinigungsmensch für die Zimmer. Ganz allgemein stieg die Arroganz des Personals mit der Hierarchie… Dies ist wohl der Militärischen Struktur der TOLIP Gruppe zu verdanken.
Der Wellness Bereich wird offenbar kaum genutzt und ist auch nicht besonders einladend. Aufgrund der jahrelangen Feuchtigkeit hat man eher Angst, das die abgehängte Decke runter kommt… Schön war nur die Salzgrotte…
Ganz hervorragend hingegen war die Qualität und Zubereitung der Speisen in allen 4 Restaurants. Dies ist

One of the best
Pros:

- Excellent spot in Alexandria.
- Affordable prices.
- Excellent reservation agent/Receptionist actually leveled up our room and was very welcoming and professional.
- housekeeping staff specifically Moustafa Sadek was always taking good care of us in case we needed anything in our room at almost any time of the day.
- spacious and clean room.

Cons:

- The breakfast area is very spacious but the food selection is limited and the area to collect food is very small compared to the spacious sitting area.

- Wifi could witness an improvement in speed.

الموقع وتأثيث الغرفة وتعامل فريق العمل بحرفية و تقديم كافه اوجه الدعم والمساعدة وخصوصا مكتب الاستقبال Reception ( ا/ ندى ) حيث تمت عملية تسجيل الوصول ودخول الغرفة فى وقت قياسي وكذلك تعامل العاملين بالمطعم والهاوس ووجود مكتب للتعامل مع حفظ مستلزمات مرضى السكر مثل الانسولين وحوافظ الثلج
