A premium priced woodland stay within the highlands
Pros:

Located in a tight woodland just outside of Thurso, Forss was a quaint hotel set up next to the river.
The property was quiet, and staff were friendly and the outdoors were peaceful.

The restaurant was lovely. Welcome drink, fantastic seafood and service and tea by the bar.

Cons:

The cabin was not part of the main house and felt a little lackluster from the beginning. This was unclear in the booking process.
The staff were young and friendly, but for a 4 star at this price, they forgot requests often.
Final pricing at the end of the stay was unclear, what was included or not included in breakfast/set-dinner-menu was not broken down and we left spending about $100GBP more than expected.

La gentillesse du personnel
Son attention et sa réactivité face à un oubli de notre part après notre départ : nous avons oublié notre liseuse. Après avoir vérifié, elle était restée derrière nous et ils nous ont proposé de nous l'envoyer à l'adresse de notre choix, très facilement, avec succès.

Pros:

Les chambres étaient très bien, situées, elles étaient juste à côté de la maison principal avec un joli jardin. Elles étaient très pratiquent pour des personnes à mobilité réduite.
Les salles de bain étaient très agréables.

Cons:

Le petit déjeuner, on aurait préféré un buffet plus accessible.

Cons:

I think it was very expensive for what it was, the rooms weren’t special, the bar area was very small, the food served in the restaurant for dinner was only a set menu and the options weren’t very nice. They had run out of tomato ketchup at breakfast

Pros:

Super freundliches Personal. Aufgund einer Autopanne sind wir erst nach 20:00 Uhr angekommen. Die Küche hat auf uns gewartet und das Essen und der Service waren vorzüglich!

Pros:

Mooie omgeving. Hotel ligt prachtig. Zeer vriendelijke staff.

Cons:

Romantische, maar zeer kleine, kamer. Basic ingericht.
Diner met lekkere gerechten met mooie smaken maar een aantal gangen waren erg karig, te kleine porties. Erg duur (£105) Matige prijs-kwaliteit verhouding.
