Location is great
The room could get a bit of an upgrade
Abanob was very accomodating during our stay, he was helpful with our requests and friendly
Great location by the beach and friends I was visiting. Beautiful views. Convenient grocery store and laundry in the next block. Window opens and there is a fan. Coffee/tea set up in room. Friendly helpful staff.
No Air Conditioning - which in all fairness you’d think would be ok by the beach. There was no ocean breeze to help. Unfortunately I was there during a heatwave and it became too much - I had to change hotels mid stay. If I opened the window at night the smoke from the bar and street below came in. There was a fan which helped tremendously. The other issue was their kitchen was closed for renovation so no breakfast or meals available on property. I’d planned to buy breakfast there as advertised when I booked my room. The room was tight but ok. If there hadn’t been a heatwave and their kitchen was open this would be a different review. The noise from the bar below was like a murmuring soundtrack from a movie so we were really not bothered by it. But if you are looking for a quiet place this is not the location for it. We were there on a bank holiday weekend so maximum busyness. No fridge.
Closer to the beach
Not to clean, smell not so good
The staff tried to help
I actually didn't stay moved to the Grand as flies were everywhere, room was filthy and other guests made me feel concerned for my safety and comfort
The Hotel Amsterdam in Brighton is generally seen as a really good spot, especially because it's right on the seafront. People often rave about the amazing views, especially if you can get a room facing the ocean. The location is super convenient for hitting the beach, checking out the pier, and getting to all the shops and nightlife in Brighton. As for the rooms, they're usually described as clean and comfortable, though some folks mention they can be a bit on the smaller side, which is pretty typical for hotels in older, popular areas. The staff often get a shout-out for being friendly and helpful, making guests feel welcome. It's a solid choice if you're looking for a hotel with a great location and a relaxed vibe.
I liked the balcony and view specially it’s very close to the Brighton pier and very convenient
Abanob he was the best very happy and helpful would definitely stay again :)
Loved It
Beautiful hotel Beautiful view
The traffic out the front but thats life
Great location opposite Brighton Pier, sea view, loved being able to open the windows and get some sea air in! The guy on the check in desk was great, really friendly and helpful, thank you!
Nothing really, if I was picky I could say that it could go with a little maintenance but I didn’t care about that!
Great view and Easy Location
Very noisy outside and noisy footsteps from upstairs and people walking in the hallway.
We didn't have breakfast 😕
Acess of some roons requelires you to go up or down a single flight of stairs - other's are directly served by lift. There may be no space to park in the street even to unload bags. However it is feasible to stop on pavement briefly.

The location was brilliant. On the seafront and a few minutes walk from the pier.
The staff were all welcoming and friendly.
The rooms were clean and lovely to have a walk in shower
It was good to have a lift.
It would have been nice to be able to have breakfast at thr hotel.
Some of the hotel was in need of refurbishment.
For room only it was quite expensive but it was the start of the schools half term so it was good compared to others in the area
