Pros:

As an ex Premier Inn the bed was really comfortable and the whole hotel was very clean.

Cons:

The food in the restaurant wasn't very good. I ordered quiche and salad and the plate it arrived on was too hot to hold. The quiche was very nondescript, with no flavour. My partner had rainbow trout which was over cooked and swimming in a paprika flavoured oil, not mentioned on the menu and not nice. Also, no decaf in the rooms.

The hotel was in a lovely setting and not far from Cheddar and other places.
Staff very friendly and welcoming.

Cons:

Arrived on Sunday afternoon. No roast dinner as advertised and very little choice from the Sunday menu and specials board. Overcooked very small piece of trout and the plate made up of excess peppers and potatoes. Sent back and was refunded. Served a brown bad avocado for breakfast and when sent back they didnt have anymore. Refunded breakfast as we had prepaid. Ordered a Somerset Chicken following evening and got served a burger. Sent back and was replaced. More attention to the quality of ingredients and cooking is required in my opinion.

Lovely Somerset country hotel
Pros:

Beautiful location in the Somerset hills. Very good restaurant and bar with good food, beers and a lovely terrace. Rooms are comfortable and air-conditioned- what a bonus in a heatwave
