The hotel was located centrally in Interlaken and the car park (we reserved a spot in advance) was affordable for Switzerland and the car was very safe. You can walk out from the hotel straight into Interlaken's busy town. We did not utilise the bar or restaurant onsite, however, there are lots of lovely restaurants nearby. The bedrooms had AC which was welcome as the summer was quite hot.
The hotel itself is dated and the rooms are small for two people. The vibe in Hotel Krebs is very practical, but I would not say romantic or luxurious. This is hotel is great if you enjoy walking and hiking, and you need somewhere to rest your head and keep your luggage. If you are someone who wants the hotel to be a part of the holiday experience, this place misses the mark.

To make matters worse, the breakfast was exceptionally poor and completely unjustifiable for the price charged. This was, without question, the most appalling and humiliating hotel experience I have ever had in Europe.
The shower area was extremely cramped, claustrophobic and inconvenient to use, and the limited space even raised genuine safety concerns.
The check-in experience was unpleasant and unprofessional from the very beginning. When I approached the reception desk, the male staff member did not greet me or say anything at all. He simply passed me over to a female colleague without any explanation. The receptionist then called me over in a rude and dismissive manner.
The female receptionist handled the check-in process very unprofessionally. Instead of properly explaining the hotel facilities, breakfast arrangements, check-out time and other essential information, she simply showed me a board containing the check-in information and asked me to take a photo of it.
Without any explanation or context whatsoever, she immediately produced a warning notice listing various fines and asked me to sign it. In all my years of staying in hotels, I have never encountered anything like this. Before offering even the most basic greeting or service, the hotel chose to begin by warning guests about penalties. This was extraordinarily rude and unprofessional.
What made the situation even more offensive was that the receptionist specifically produced a Chinese-language version of the warning. This felt like clear targeting and discrimination against Chinese guests. I genuinely wonder whether guests of other nationalities are also required to sign such a notice, and whether the hotel keeps versions of this warning in every language. The whole situation was not only absurd, but deeply humiliating.

Mobilier vechi și degradat. Mic dejun dezamăgitor. Saltelele foarte moi,care de fapt nici nu sunt saltele. Este un toper de 10cm grosime pus direct pe box spring. Am cerut saltea mai tare dar nu au avut. Singuri angajați care își fac treaba cum trebuie sunt menajerele.

Lage ist sehr zentral. Wir hatten ein Zimmer nach hinten und somit sehr ruhig.
Wir hatten auch im Restaurant das Nachtessen und es war sehr gut.
