Numa Venice Palazzo Orseolo

I was notified that the AC broke ONE DAY before arrival (saying that someone will be on site the NEXT WEEK to fix, thank you for my understanding). No staff on site. Initially they even refused to refund the remaining days so I could book elsewhere with AC. I had to leave the window open at night to keep cool, which brought in mosquitos, and the canal just below the window stinked.

Koffie was niet warm

The air conditioning did not work for our 2-night stay. It was very warm and uncomfortable. They sent an email on the day of our stay stating that the AC in the whole building is broken and won’t be fixed until next week. I reached out to customer service where they handled the situation in good faith.

Cela ne correspond pas du tout au standard d’un hotel 4 étoiles surtout pour le prix, il s’agit plus d’un rnb. Tout ce passe par whats app, la climatisation ne fonctionnait pas sous 28 degrés et le petit lit dans la chambre pour 3 (1 grand lit plus 1 petit) n’etait préparé car nous n’étions que 2 et même après avoir demandé à ce qu’il soit fait, on m’a indiqué où trouver les commodités, car le personnel de ménage n’était plus là, ils viennent seulement avant le Check in. Très déçu du rapport qualité/prix

El aire acondiciona no funcionada y hacía muchísimo calor, no lo solucionaron. Nos daban indicaciones de como configurar el termostato, pero el aire no funcionaba por lo que he podido ver en comentarios de otros clientes. En plena ola de calor, un hotel de más de 300€ la noche y en 4 días de estancia nadie reparó nada.

Terrible customer service and property maintenance - do not recommend anyone stays here unless you go in winter. We were only told on the day of our arrival in Venice that there would be no air conditioning for the whole of our 4 night stay during 30 degree temperatures due to a fault. It was impossible to speak to anyone and the “chat service” that was supposed to connect you to a human agent after an AI bot tried to deal with your issue took hours to get any response (despite an automated message saying you would be connected in 5-10 mins) and then more hours for the human agent to speak to anyone who knew the situation and try to deal with it. We were provided with a small fan for the whole apartment. We stayed one night and it was unbearable with none of us getting any sleep. We were offered a 15% discount. We lost a day and a half of our holiday trying to sort this out. We had to find another hotel for the rest of our stay and we’re offered no compensation. We were told initially by Booking.com that we would be given a full refund for the first night that we stayed as there was no AC. This was not honoured and Numa only agreed to a 25% reduction, despite an essential facility not being available. Would not recommend the property unless you go in winter as you cannot rely on the AC. Would not recommend any other Numa property as it is impossible to speak to anyone to resolve any problems.

One of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The moment we opened the door, the room was hit with a thick sewage smell that clung to the air and made the entire place feel damp, dirty, and neglected.

To make matters worse, the hotel waited until after the free cancellation period had expired to tell us the air conditioning wasn’t working. The room turned into a stuffy, airless box of heat. Staff promised fans and bottled water to help, but nothing ever arrived. We spent the night overheated, dehydrated, and completely ignored.

The bathroom looked sleek and modern at first glance, but it was completely dysfunctional. Water leaked across the floor after every shower, soaking the bathroom tiles and leaving puddles everywhere. Throughout the night there was a relentless dripping sound echoing from the bathroom ceiling or pipes — slow, constant, impossible to ignore — making sleep almost impossible.

Even after checkout, the chaos continued. The luggage lockers downstairs were broken, and maintenance falsely claimed they had fixed them when they clearly hadn’t.

This hotel felt less like a place to relax and more like a badly maintained building held together with excuses and empty promises.
