It was a lovely hotel, and I would recommend staying there.
Pros:

Great location and extremely helpful front desk.

Cons:

Last time we stayed, our room was large and very comfortable, this last stay the room was very small and a little tight on space.

Very well equipped room, lovely shower, small kitchenette with fridge, iron and hair dryer in the cupboard. Room tidied
Pros:

Excellent location in the west end near dean village. 30 minute stroll to the castle and old town, 10 minute stroll to new town. Bars, restaurants and shops with in a few minutes also.

Cons:

No food, but we knew that and wasn’t a problem for us, but we did hear other guests asking for food.

Excellent hotel.
Pros:

Very friendly and helpful staff. Good location. No breakfast but lots of options given on the information sheet with discounts available. Nice layout in the room. Lots of umbrellas available for the wet weather. Nice touch in the evening with a complimentary drink in the lobby.

Cons:

Everything was excellent but pricey but that's Edinburgh.
