Title: Amazing location, but exceptionally poor room design and layout.

Pros:
The hotel is in an absolutely beautiful and amazing location. Additionally, the property is very new, everything was perfectly clean, and the hygiene standards were excellent.
Cons:
Unfortunately, the room layout was a massive disappointment. It genuinely feels like whoever designed these rooms has never actually stayed in a hotel before and has no understanding of basic guest needs.
The room was incredibly tiny. If you are a couple staying for 2–3 days with a few suitcases, there is absolutely zero space to put your luggage—even after unpacking. Most people don’t bother fully unpacking for a short stay, but here, you have no choice because the floor space is so limited.
The bathroom was equally frustrating. There is a total lack of functional space:
No storage in the shower: There isn't a single corner shelf or ledge to place your own soap or shampoo. It feels like they are forcing you to use their products because there’s nowhere to put your own.
No counter space by the sink: There is no shelf or table near the washbasin. Basic items like your toothpaste or even a hand towel have to be placed on the floor under the sink, which is incredibly inconvenient and poorly thought out.
Final Verdict:
Despite the cleanliness and the great location, the terrible design completely ruined the stay for me. I would never go back. I highly recommend avoiding this hotel unless you are a solo traveler staying for just a single night with minimal luggage. If you plan to spend any actual time in your room, look elsewhere.
This is not a hotel. These are servised apartments. Nowadays problem is, that you are not able to recognize what is a classic hotel with hotel lobby, caffeteria and normal hotel services. This is problem of Booking, but also Google. And Athens Icon is exactly this. It is offered as a hotel, but it is not.

The location is pretty central, room was clean and staff was helpful.
A fair amount of noise coming from the outside street. The inside was not accessible because the elevator was a bit tight and hard to access in and out.
Great location. Room was beautiful, bed was comfortable.
The room was veryyyy small, bathroom was very small. Fine for a quick overnight but not very functional for much longer unless you have very little luggage.
