Economical and Practical stay to see part of the city
Pros:

The price to accommodation infrastructure is about right. I also liked the friendliness of the staff and how helpful and concern they were getting the cab

Cons:

I think they can do a little bit of maintenance and change few items for the hotel not too look that shabby.

Security Concerns and Unsatisfactory Room Conditions

Cons:

I checked into this hotel today and had scheduled a Hammam appointment. Before my appointment, I wanted to get something to eat, but to my shock, I discovered that my room door would not lock. Concerned for my safety, I gathered all my belongings and went straight to reception.

In all my years of travelling, I have never experienced anything like this. When I raised the issue with the receptionist, he confirmed that the door was open and offered to move me to another room. However, when we went to inspect the new room together, the door was already unlocked. He explained that this was normal because housekeeping leaves the doors unlocked. What made the situation even more concerning was that, when he took me to yet another room, he was able to open the door without using a key.

As a woman travelling alone, I find this completely unacceptable. The security of my room and my personal belongings is not a luxury; it is a basic expectation. I should not have to worry about whether my room can be securely locked, nor should I be expected to accept such a serious security issue as normal hotel practice.

Given these circumstances, I requested to cancel my reservation and receive a full refund. However, I was only offered credit towards a future stay. This is not an acceptable resolution, as I have completely lost confidence in the hotel’s safety standards and have no intention of returning.

To make matters worse, there is visible mould in the bathroom, along with an unpleasant smell, raising further concerns about the cleanliness and maintenance of the property.

This experience has been extremely disappointing and has left me feeling unsafe and uncomfortable. I expect a hotel to provide, at the very least, a secure room and acceptable standards of cleanliness.

I am therefore requesting a full refund to my original method of payment, rather than a credit for a future stay.
