Excellent
I think the gardens surrounding this charming, characterful hotel are some of my favourite of all time. My mum and I were fortunate enough to experience some lovely sunny weather and a glass of wine here felt extremely special and luxurious. The room was immaculate and the staff were so friendly and informative.
I feel it was perhaps a little on the pricey end for room only, but worth it for a real treat to explore those beautiful grounds.

Lovely property old and quaint
Bedroom position was noisy. Fronted the car park at ground floor level. Windows were closed too

Wedding was booked the morning of our departure. Couldn’t even get a coffee … nor take photos in the garden but happy to a) take our full payment. Why don’t hoteliers contact those guests already booked in and let them know there is a wedding on that will reduce the hotels facilities or provide a discount and give the choice to the customer as to whether they continue with their booking or find somewhere else. We too have paid for an experience and didn’t get it I’m afraid.
The staff were great, really friendly and helpful
We had a room with just a bath (no shower!) it was expensive and not good value for money. Breakfast wasn’t included and was expensive

Staff were very friendly and helpful and they undoubtedly make this hotel a very pleasant place to stay.
We can't think of anything other than that a small fridge in the room would have been very useful for keeping drinks cool, as it was very hot during our stay.

The hotel has lots of character, breakfast was good, bed was comfy!
In need of TLC in a lot of areas, lots scuffs and marks on the walls. Overpriced for the quality of the room. No air conditioning or even a fan.
