Pros:

The kitchen has everything you need. Very good!

Cons:

The door knob of my room was broken completely I could not it to move the door as it will fall out, luckily the door lock works (separated from the door knob), still it is very inconvenience to open and close the door. There are someone's cloths already in the closet, so I feel uncomfortable to use the closet.

Lesson learned: You get what you pay for!
Pros:

1. The box air conditioner in the bedroom worked.
2. I asked for a handtowel and wash cloth - they were set out for me.

Cons:

Ancient space that felt very unclean. Community Bathroom especially was alarming. Bath mats on the floor and hand towels never changed once over five days - and used by MANY people. Toilet became filthy. Just Gross.
All in all, I am proud that I stayed and made it the five days. Battered furniture, broken blinds - just a rundown, scary place in a pretty shady area.

I don’t want to recommend this place to others.

Cons:

This place is absolutely disgusting. First of all, they don’t have a proper hair dryer. The owner claimed they have two dryers, but I only saw one 220V hair dryer, so I had to buy one myself. To make matters worse, there were an abundance of bugs and flies. My friend and I stayed here for three days and caught a total of ten bugs and flies. The bedding wasn’t cleaned properly either, which was quite unpleasant. On top of that, they didn’t change the hand soap even though it was empty on our first day. Overall, the place is completely unclean. I would never visit this place again and I would never recommend it to anyone. I really enjoyed my time in DC except when I get back to house.

Pros:

Location was great, room was great and private. A simple, clean, shared boarding house (i.e., shared bathroom, kitchen) with a good size room that was very pleasant and reasonably priced. Manager was also very attentive.

Pros:

The host was exceptionally welcoming and generous with his advice and help. Friendly and calming, he made me and my friend feel at home, and other guests were equally as polite and sweet. Location was fantastic as it was easy to walk to train stations and bus stops, and even though the classic tourist spots were very manageable to get to, other places like Georgetown were still very accessible.

The beds were exceptionally comfortable, place was clean and the neighborhood was so peaceful. Genuinely so nice to be in. Natural lighting in the room was wonderful and the room was so big.

Cons:

Water pressure in the shower was not the strongest but it is such a small issue compared to the good things about staying here.
