The staff is excellent, and the rooms are very comfortable.

The manager even kindly packed us breakfast for our domestic flight to Lukla, which was incredibly smart because we experienced long delays. Great location close to everything. Having travelled extensively and stayed in numerous hotels, I can confidently say that Hotel Kailash has earned a very special place in my heart.

🚿 BATHROOMS — 10/10: Beautifully maintained, sparkling clean, with excellent water pressure and everything functioning perfectly. A refreshing change from the shortcomings one occasionally encounters even in expensive hotels!

🛏️ LINEN & HOUSEKEEPING — 10/10: Spotless, fresh, crisp linen that made every night's rest a pleasure. The attention to detail was remarkable.

🍽️ FOOD — 10/10: Excellent quality, delicious preparations and a dining experience that left us thoroughly satisfied. Full marks to the kitchen team!

❤️ STAFF & HOSPITALITY — 11/10! Yes, you read that correctly — ELEVEN OUT OF TEN!

The staff didn't merely serve me. They embraced me with the warmth, affection and sincerity of my own family.

Their smiles were infectious, their courtesy genuine and their willingness to help extraordinary. Whatever I requested was attended to promptly, cheerfully and without the slightest hesitation.

Not once did I feel like a customer dealing with hotel employees. I felt like a family member being looked after by his own people.

They left no stone unturned to make me comfortable. And that, to me, is the highest form of hospitality.

📍 LOCATION — 9/10: Very convenient and an excellent base for exploring Kathmandu and its surroundings.

I really liked the location. It was close to everything, but still somehow hidden from the noise of the nearby streets. The staff were very helpful and attentive. Actually, the hotel offered the best shower that we have had in Nepal.

We have stayed there for 2 nights and our stay was really good. Friendly and accommodating staff, great location and good breakfast.

I was genuinely apprehensive about this trip, as a flash flood had struck the region just 20 days before my scheduled travel to Nepal. Despite the uncertainty, I decided to go ahead with my plans — and I'm glad I did, because the situation on the ground was completely normal, and my stay at Kailash Boutique Hotel turned out to be one of the best hotel experiences I've had in a long time.

From the moment I arrived, the team went above and beyond. The manager, Mr. Dol, and support staff, Mr. Firoj, were exceptionally prompt and attentive in responding to every query I had. They arranged an airport pick-up service for me, which made arriving in an unfamiliar city stress-free. They also kindly upgraded my room without my having to ask, which was a lovely surprise.

What really stood out was how far they went beyond standard hospitality — they helped me exchange USD to local currency and even assisted with installing a local ride-sharing app, both of which made getting around Kathmandu so much easier as a foreign traveler.

The location in Thamel is excellent — central, walkable, and close to everything you'd want to explore. But it was truly the people — Mr. Dol and Mr. Firoj in particular — who made this stay memorable. Their warmth, responsiveness, and willingness to help with anything I needed reflected genuine Nepali hospitality at its best.

Highly recommend this hotel to any traveler, especially those visiting Nepal for the first time or feeling uncertain given regional conditions. I left feeling completely at ease and well taken care of throughout my stay.
