Ein richtig gemütlicher Adlerhorst :-)
Pros:

Location, location , location
Pros:

Brilliant location in the heart of oxford. St Aldates English pub next door - great for a pint and dinner. Really comfy bed . Really enjoyed the proximity to the Oxford experience from this accomodation. Everything a short walking distance.. The guest lounge was a bonus, with good coffee available. You use a code to get in, and I phoned to get help. The phone was answered immediately, and the staff member was really helpful. I highly recommend this for its brilliant location.

Cons:

As an authentic old worlde English residence, it has steep stairs, uneven steps, and small room. My husband has a disability so it was a bit of a challenge. Nevertheless, it was manageable, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay

Comfortable and central
Pros:

Central Oxford and comfortable and quiet

Cons:

Surprised when some people who were staying the night I left had the code to enter my room before I left at 10 in the morning. A definite security red flag. Though all amicably resolved.

Pros:

communal kitchen was clean

Cons:

Very difficult to find. I didn't receive door code and had to call. The tv did not work (only could watch bbc). I ended up not staying there.

Pros:

The location is the greatest advantage of this hotel. But that’s the only positive thing I can say.

Cons:

Ah well what to begin: the room is extremely tacky with cheap materials. Many things are broken, including safe and window shade. There is no window. The room’s functionality is badly designed: all furnitures are clunky. Hygienity is suboptimal. And for all these negative features, it’s overpriced.

Central yet quiet room - perfect for weekend stay
Pros:

Great room for a weekend stay in Oxford. Bigger and nicer room than I was expecting. I guess it looks just like the photos, but I usually think the photos exaggerate - in this case, they didn't, they were spot on. Kettle in the room (and iron and ironing board...). Private en-suite. All very clean and comfortable. Very quiet room even though it's in the centre (great location!) and next to a pub. Shared kitchen / lounge area with fridge, sink, coffee machine, crockery, cutlery etc

Cons:

The key codes are quite long so don't leave your phone in your room if you can't remember the code!

Great location but disappointing in all aspects of facilities, decor, cleanliness and security. Certainly not the five s
Pros:

Very good central location. I did get some responses via booking.com messaging.

Cons:

Everything a little tired and dirty. Lack of tea and coffee facilities in room. Coffee etc. provided in communal kitchen area but this is not ideal. Nobody wants to leave their room to make a simple cup of tea or coffee. Therefore the boast of five stars is very misleading. The lack of staff on site is unsettling and contributes to a sense of a lack of security in the property. There were a few problems with the room - patches of different coloured paints on the walls, shower tap came off in my hand, dirty finger prints and hand prints everywhere, two out of three window blinds were broken and unusable.

Good value comfortable accommodation in excellent location.
Pros:

Comfortable room with good shower room. Tearoom with facilities adjacent was a bonus.

Cons:

Getting in was complicated because the email with entry codes only arrived as we were trying to get in!

Sink plug not working.
