Everything was as described, the host a very nice women and the property beautiful. We could also leave our luggage for 5 days.
The pool was not in good shape with murky water. We didn’t take a swim.

They didn't get close to delivering what they had promised. Actually, they didn't deliver at all. Not Thavill Retreat Ha Giang fault however. They really looked after me.
Perfect setting, very spaces , staff cooked the best meal in our northern trip ( we pre-ordered prior arrival).

Can be cold in winter even with AC on as there is no wall insulation.
Everything was better than expected. Host made us amazing meals, and even waited up while one of us arrived late. The beds are comfortable, house is beautiful and artistic, and the area is gorgeous. It was a great experience just walking around the neighborhood

Airconditioning at the room. Perfect place to relax. I would highly recommend this place when in ha giang. It is a bit far if you want to walk from the city centre, bit the taxi service is excellent, so don’t worry about that. The location is more than worth it.

We loved the quietness of the location. A little outside Ha Giang and only reachable by taxi or scooter.
Beautiful accommodation, a holiday home in the traditional style for the area with an open downstairs that has lots of seating and a beautiful open style bathroom, and then the upstairs with a one double bed as you walk up the stairs then four more double beds inside a big room with woven walls. The booking options confused me a little but I believe you just choose how many of the beds you need/people you have and then you get the whole place to yourself, at least we did thankfully. The host made us dinner which came with a lot of dishes and was some of the best food we'd eaten in Vietnam.
There were a lot of mosquitoes (the most we had anywhere in Vietnam) so bug spray would be useful when sitting downstairs, upstairs we kept the room door closed to keep them out. The bedroom walls were woven leaves and quite thin so easily let sounds through and we were woken by a cat yowling in the night. The room also had no windows which was a bit odd.
