Sigiriya Moonlight Home

This was the best homestay I stayed in Sri Lanka-and I travelled for a month. Room feels very new, garden is very pleasant. AC is very good. Breakfast was really good, we asked for the lasy to not cook much for as since we can never finish it and she gave us a bit of everything! Some traditiinal items I was never given before in Sri Lanka. Finally, the family were extremelly helpful and went above and beyond-they went to Dambulla (30 mins away) to bring something from me!

This was one of my favourite stays in Sri Lanka! The guesthouse is owned by the kindest family, who made me feel incredibly welcome from the moment I arrived.

The room was spotless, spacious, air-conditioned, and had a very comfortable bed, along with everything I needed for a perfect stay.

Breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the beautiful, peaceful garden was the perfect place to relax.

Sashini and her husband arranged my safari as well as tuk-tuk transportation to Lion Rock and Pidurangala. Everything was organised seamlessly and was much easier than booking online, so I highly recommend arranging these activities through them.

The location is excellent too—within walking distance of several restaurants and only a short tuk-tuk ride from all the main attractions.

I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Hele aardige mensen van het verblijf, rustige mooie plek en toch centraal gelegen. Heerlijk ontbijt.

Tout était absolument parfait. Samanthi est une personne chaleuheureuse, attentionnée et accueillante. Elle et son mari nous ont fait passer un merveilleux séjour. Le logement est parfaitement bien situé, à proximité de tout. La chambre et la salle de bain étaient propres et spacieuses. Les petits déjeuners étaient préparés avec amour et gentillesse et vraiment délicieux ! C’est un endroit calme, paisible et rempli de sérénité. Nous le recommandons vivement !

We waren met een gezin met drie (soms wat aanwezige kinderen). We voelden ons meer dan welkom, het voelde hier als een tweede thuis. Wat een lieve familie, die er alles aan doen om het verblijf onvergetelijk te maken. Het ontbijt is heerlijk, allerlei zelf gemaakte hapjes en iedere dag anders. De kamer is groot (4 persoons) met een fijne badkamer. De tuin laat je genieten van allerlei vogels, soms aapjes en bijzondere insecten. De mooiste plantjes en bloemen staan op ieder hoekje, een heerlijk zitje om te lezen of spelletjes te spelen. De locatie is geweldig, allerlei restaurantjes om de hoek en dichtbij de lion rock!

Wir haben drei Nächte hier verbracht und einen herrlichen Aufenthalt genossen. Der Garten ist zauberhaft, das Zimmer gut ausgestattet – inklusive Moskitonetz und Klimaanlage. Unsere Gastgeberin war sehr herzlich: Nach Rückkehr von Ausflügen verwöhnte sie uns jeweils mit Kaffee oder Tee (sogar aus Blüten vom eigenen Garten) und Gebäck. Zwischendurch schenkte sie uns traditionelle Früchte und war sehr liebenswürdig - auch mit unseren Kindern (5 und 10 Jahre). Wir können diesen Ort wärmstens empfehlen und würden sofort wieder kommen — unsere beiden Kinder hätten am liebsten gleich dort bleiben wollen. 🥰

Velká a chutná lokální snídaně, kde nám ji paní popsala.
Velmi klidné, čisté, prostorné, pohodlné, klimatizace, větrák.
Velké pozitivum: moskytiéra a fén na ubytování.
Moc milá paní.
Skvělá poloha - kousek od Sigiriya.

Una habitación increíble en medio de la naturaleza. Anfitriona encantadora y muy atenta. Muy buen desayuno.

Brand new beautiful room at prime location which is walkable distance to Museum office at Sigiriya. Property owner is customer friendly and arranged tasty breakfast, coffee for us! They also arranged for local safari, which was not in our original plan. I would highly recommend this place for your visit to Sigiriya!!

It’s a little paradise hidden just far enough away from the main road to be peaceful. Super clean and really comfortable.
