Pondok Devana Kintamani

The place was really hard to get to. They let us know that there would be stairs which we are fine with but they didn't say 1000 stairs. It took about 12 minutes to go down and about 20 minutes to come back up. There was no way to get luggage down so everything had to be carried by hand up the very steep hill. Once we got to our room, we saw that the bedsheets had stains on them. None of the cutlery or crockery was clean and in the morning the forks they brought for breakfast still had bits of old food on it from the previous person. Our new suitcases got damaged in that climb as well. For us it was a massive regret and we wished that we had booked somewhere else. We feel bad because it is a family run business and we really hardly ever give a bad review and we are quite adventorous but we did not enjoy our stay here at all. There was also no small fridge to keep any drinks cold.

The cabins sit about 70m down inside the rim of Batur crater. They are accessed by steep stairs which was a bit difficult for me(fairly fit 64 year old) but may not cause any issues for younger and fitter people.
A mini fridge would have been nice to have in the cabin to keep drinks cold.

Nic mi się nie podobało

Apesar de terem avisado várias vezes, o acesso ao hotel é bastante mais desgastante fisicamente do que eu achava que ia encontrar. Tenho boa forma física e ficava sempre ofegante nas subidas (muito íngreme e com muitos degraus). Não recomendo para pessoas sem excelente condição física, nem quem viaje com malas pesadas.
Alguma dificuldade em regular a água quente (apesar da pressão do chuveiro muito boa).

Petit déjeuner local ( omelette toast fruits ) pas à notre goût mais ça peut plaire à d’autres
Attention les chambres sont vraiment en contrebas , j’ai compté 138 marches pour notre chambre la plus en hauteur
Selon mon téléphone 440m et l’equilavent de 16 étages ( comme on dit une belle vue ça se mérite )

Há uma escadaria bem grande para subir e descer, mas eles avisam isso, o que é incrivel e vale super super apena subir e descer estas escadas, recomendo que vão de mochila porque mala de rodas realmente não funciona aqui.

Dat het compleet mistig is romd 14.30 . En dat je om bij accomodatie te komen heeeel veel trappen moet lopen. Wij hebben een goede conditie. Maar dit vonden wij toch best een pittige workout.

If anything a little bar fridge would help. No food down there and it’s a long way back up.

Nothing that I didn’t like, we knew about all the stairs so that wasn’t a problem. We left 2 bags with the host family up the top and only had 2 small bags.

Wondered why they wanted to know exact time of arrival….someone had to be there to meet us to guide through the building site, then the 100m or so of a very steep down slope followed by 168 steep steps
The room itself is dated and in need of modernisation so don’t believe the nice shiny pictures on booking.com
Door handle broken, bathroom doesn’t look like it’s been cleaned in months, dirty towels, marks on bedding and generally dirty, oh and a kettle that takes about 25 mins to boil
Breakfast served to the balcony, some fruit with an omelette, chips and fried bread….very weird

Nokļūšana līdz istabiņai. Drausmas. Tā ir traģēdija! Esmu labā fiziskā formā, bet tādā karstumā pat man tas bija - too much!
Personāla izmantošana bagāžas nonešanai un uznešanai! Tas nav darbinieku pienākums! Biju ieradusies agrāk, pirms reģistrēšanās izgāju apskatīt pilsētu, atgriezos- jūsu bagāža, kas bija 20+ kg, jau ir nogādāta istabiņā! Nu ok, izbrīnijos, pat nopriecājos, bet, kad devos uz istabu, ieraudziju tās kāpnes, tās pat nav kāpnes, stāva kalna nogāze ar betona plāksnēm, pajautāju, kurš nonesa to smago koferi?!?!? Man parādija smalku, trauslu sievieti! Ko?! Jūs nopietni?! Kā var tā izmantot darbiniekus?! Vājas sievietes?! Viesnicas īpašniekam ir jāizskata šis jautājums- vai nu atstājat smago bagāžu reģistratūrā un dodaties uz savu istabu tikai ar pašu nepieciešamo vai arī tas ir extra maksas pakalpojums darbiniekiem, kas būtu ne mazāk kā 100 tūkstoši rūpiju katrā virzienā! Esmu bijusi viesnīcās, Bali, kur šāda bagāžas sistēma strādā!
