Don't stay here - so many better options elsewhere and this experience was a headache!
Pros:

The front desk staff are nice and friendly, but the property manager is awful.

Cons:

JUST DON'T DO IT. So many better options for similar price - L Good Mushroom Bay is great.

The accommodation at Cempaka is very run down - broken, old or damaged furniture in the rooms and by the pool. The rooms are musty, no fridges, no ceiling fans, bathrooms are not cleaned properly. The location is not central and it is a bit of a walk to restaurants and the beach (this would be a challenge at night, and the road in is pretty sketchy by bike) - with no other guests at the property it was pretty isolated. This wouldn't be as big of an issue if the actual accommodation was maintained and it was enjoyable to stay there, however it needs a serious do-up considering the price they are charging without any genius discount or deal. Honestly, I couldn't recommend this property less - when we spoke to the property manager about the issues, including the wifi being down, she couldn't care less and refused to rectify any of the issues, with Booking.com needing to intervene. Anyway, if you read this far, hopefully you're convinced to spend your money elsewhere. This will not be the island trip you're after, I assure you!

Great facility, location and staff. Will be going back definitely.
Pros:

Great location close to mushroom bay. The facility was empty so we basically had it to ourselves with a lovely pool to use and breakfast included which was more than enough for us. Staff on site and always available to assist.

Cons:

Unfortunately next door was a major hotel complex being built but it didn’t bother us too much given we were out mostly. The road to the facility is rough and has been for years making riding a scooter challenging.

Suited more for younger and energetic that are experienced riding motorcycles.
Pros:

For us the only good thing was the staff/owners. They were understanding and assisted us with transportation to another facility I booked.

Cons:

The photos on Booking.Com were nothing like the actual place, which was a disappointment.
You would also need a motorcycle to stay in the area as there were no restaurants or cafes. It was a very long walk on unmade narrow roads to a mini mart.
What made it even worse was an excavator operating just metres away all day, which was vibrating the room. (Of course the property had no control over that)
Access to the room was up several steep steps, and a challenge for me at 75 and having a bad knee.
We were booked to stay 3 days but we checked out the following day.

Pros:

Very beautiful place and people working there are super nice.

Cons:

Too much humidity in the room. Floor, bed, furniture,... Everything is constantly wet.
Not the best location in the island, a bit far from centre and beach (and road is not safe for walking).

Pros:

- a proper family run hotel, as per Lembongan standard it's quite fair, but if to give an objective review that place is very basic and has trouble keeping it clean.
- pool and sunbeds surrounded by garden are a nice place to relax.
- the staff was very nice and helpful.

Cons:

- lack of fresh water was a surprise as it wasn't stated anywhere. I'm aware it's common across smaller islands but would be good to know ahead.
- one night I got bitten by a spider, and another by different unidentified insects. Room & bathroom haven't been throughly cleaned in a long time, and had lots of spider webs were visible.
- apparently room types offered on booking.com are mismatched, so I've stayed in the one I didn't want.

Dont workation from there, theres no functioning wifi and only 1 bar of data. Everything else is great there!
