Welcoming and such a nice treat at a modern hotel

Ah I had a gorgeous time here! The staff were so kind and made sure that I was well looked after, from celebrating my birthday with me to helping me find a lost ring - thank you Tina! I felt really supported and appreciated their advice about places to go out and ways to tour, they even helped me find a nearby opticians. I loved the included breakfast, especially the youtiao and the baos, all fresh and made daily, and all the great fresh fruits and juices. What a treat! The hotel lobby was really comfortable to lounge in at night after I'd come in from dinner, with great tea options. I loved the view, and was grateful for a nearby train station. The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom was nice & modern. I liked having a desk in my room to work from too. The gym staff were super kind and the gym was really well equipped, it even had reformer pilates beds. The concierge was really helpful and looked after my luggage for me.

Cons:

Compared to the other fantastic decor, the swimming pool was a little gloomy without nice lighting and not so prettily decorated, I would love it to have a more welcoming vibe! But it's a fantastic feature and I loved swimming there, it's a good size – and the team at the gym & pool desk were so kind, they looked after my large luggage while I went for a swim.

Overall, for a 5-star international hotel with this price range and level of service, I believe guests could easily find

Location was very good , easy to access

Cons:

1. The pillows were vacuum packed flat, and I didn’t like the softness of them as they were not comfortable.

2. The toilet door could not be closed properly.

3. I went down to the receptionist to ask whether laundry service was provided, as I know many hotels do offer it. However, I was told to “go outside and find it yourself,” which I felt was quite rude. I also understand Chinese, and I overheard them saying things that made me feel like I was troublesome.
