Amazing lodge in beautiful area surround by nature and local village.
Pros:

The cabin was amazing! In the jungle and overlooking the river. You get to take an old jeep Indiana jones style ride up to the lodge which we all thought was super fun! The staff was so nice and kind and helpful! We felt like staying with a family! The activities were great. We did the long tour hike in forest which was really a highlight with lots of wildlife and swam in river below waterfall! We also did Lankagama nature safari hike to several waterfalls and swam in one. We swam in river at the lodge also. The beds very comfortable and good size room and bathroom. The food was good and they had games available. The lodge provided leech socks which helped on the hikes. Leeches are not disease carriers by the way so not a risk.

Cons:

We truly loved everything about this place staying in was felt like a little village with locals only. It was such a beautiful area all around. The only thing that was a miss for us was the night hike, but maybe it would be different for others.

A beautiful place with kind staff, but our stay was affected by a very unpleasant incident involving missing cash
Pros:

The property is beautiful, surrounded by forest, with a peaceful and natural atmosphere. The staff were kind, helpful and smiling throughout our stay, and the location itself is very special.

Cons:

A few things to be aware of: the rooms do not have air conditioning, and in our opinion the food could be improved.

Unfortunately, we also had a very unpleasant experience. My girlfriend noticed on two separate occasions that 5,000 Sri Lankan rupees were missing from her wallet each time. The first time, she thought she might have counted incorrectly. The second time, however, she was certain, because she noticed it when she had to pay the driver who had taken us to Colombo. Between those moments, we had not gone anywhere or made any payment that could explain the missing money. I cannot accuse anyone directly, because we did not see what happened, but after carefully going through the situation, we are sure that something was wrong.

What disappointed me most was how the property handled the report: after I explained what had happened, they first replied that it was “impossible”. Later, they said they were open to discussing the matter further and mentioned the possibility of a refund. However, when I explained that my girlfriend did not wish to speak directly, but that they could still send me any message and I would forward it to her, we received no further reply.

It is a pity, because apart from this incident the stay had several positive aspects.

Pros:

Le lieu était absolument magique. Entre calme et dépaysement, nous avons pu découvrir la faune et la flore au plus proche de son habitat. La famille qui tient le lieu est d’une gentillesse absolue. Nous recommandons ce lieu a 100%

Un seul petit point. L’ajout d’une moustiquaire dans la chambre serait idéal

swimming pool is mentioned in booking.com post but no pool at the venue, Kettle in the room but no tea/coffee/sugar sachets. Glasses were not available, shampoo/body wash not available in bathroom/no TV/Dinner was not tasty and proper cutlery was not provided

Pros:

We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb! The fantastic hosts were incredibly warm and attentive, making us feel right at home with excellent local tips.
The room by the waterfall was magical — waking up to the soothing sound of cascading water was unforgettable. The views are breathtaking and the whole property feels peaceful and private.
The food was outstanding too — delicious fresh meals that we looked forward to every time.
A true gem with great hospitality, comfort, and location. Highly recommended!

Highly recommended for anyone looking for a calm and enjoyable getaway.
Pros:

Had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location is absolutely beautiful, especially being right in front of the river — the view and atmosphere were so relaxing and peaceful.

The staff service was excellent throughout our stay. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and very attentive. Their hospitality really made the experience even better. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a calm and enjoyable getaway.

Cons:

The hot water was not working at all, and the shower water pressure was extremely poor.

Another misleading part was that they mention having a swimming pool, but there is actually no swimming pool at the property. It’s only a river bathing area

The hotel is very isolated with no nearby shops or places to buy even basic things, which was really inconvenient.

They do have a restaurant, but honestly the food quality was not good and did not meet expectations. Also, the last 1 km road to the hotel is in very bad condition and difficult to travel, especially at night or during rainy weather.

Pros:

This hotel is located in a piece of paradise. Perfectly situated by the train tracks, in a tea plantation and amidst lush nature. The owners, father and son, are very professional and committed to their customers. They really want to arrange everything for you, such as our train journey or a tour.

They also give good advice about traveling in Sri Lanka. Lovely people.

Pros:

Had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The location is excellent and very convenient, with beautiful views from the room that made the stay even more enjoyable. The restaurant offered good food with a nice atmosphere, and the customer service was very friendly, professional, and helpful throughout our stay.

Overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable stay, and I would recommend this hotel to others.

The best part of my entire trip in Sri Lanka!
Pros:

The most beautiful scenery steps in front of your room, while the sounds of the river are heard from everywhere on the property keeping you relaxed 24/7 and giving you a good night's sleep! The hospitality was incredible, I felt so well taken care of by the wonderful family! Room was so much bigger and more modern than I expected. Food was absolutely delicious! They organized everything to make the trip hassle free... private transport from and back to Colombo, river-side massage, and nature treks with an excellent guide that knocked every species off my list! I can't wait to come back and stay much, much longer.
