Wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Great value for money and exceptional service throughout our stay.

I liked it having the lodge at the back I slept well close to all facilities and family I was visiting

Excellent stay, beautiful place, reasonably priced and attentive staff what more could you want? Will stay there again.
Pros:

The staff were incredibly tentative, especially both daily managers very approachable, helpful and chatty if you want to chat or help on where to visit in Northumberland. The food was very enjoyable, cooked and presented very well. The food is definitely priced reasonably as well. The room was decorated lovely and the whole place just looked sharp and very cozy. The hotel is a great home base for traveling Northumberland.

Cons:

Just a couple of small things to note that didn’t really affect the fantastic stay.
The dressing table chair had a small sharp nail or staple that caught my wife’s trousers, but the reception said they will deal with it. There is an unexpected £10 overnight parking charge. Breakfast was £15 which was fine… but the leaflet in the room mentioned it was then an extra £5 for a full English buffet, luckily in the morning there was no extra £5 charge.
The shower although lovely and strong is on mixer taps and was difficult to find that perfect temperature, the temperature did keep fluctuating while not touching the taps. The bar area would benefit from a few more sofa areas or cozy areas to sit after a meal for a drink, me and the wife did find a couple of chairs but they seemed to be the only two.

Good hotel with nice facilities and great staff
Pros:

Great location for what we needed. Rooms comfortable with good facilities including a fridge. Manager Mac was outstanding - friendly, helpful and professional.

Cons:

The rooms didn’t have aircon but fans were provided which did keep the rooms cool.
