Pros:

Location , it was excellent for the town of Hexham and for the local Roman sites. Also the hotel is sited on the banks of the river.. restaurant was lovely, menu was varied and excellent quality.

Amazing Location that exceeded our expectations and a really warm welcome
Pros:

The George Hotel was in a great location on the edge of the Dark Skies park which was really good for us as we went there to see the stars and we absolutely saw them even when we stepped out from our room which had a pretty view across the hotel garden towards the river.
When we ventured further by foot the sights were even better and the concierge gave us some really great tips about local sightseeing and stargazing

There really wasnt anything I would say I didnt like, it met all of our expectations

Restaurant had to change bill for food on the menu ordered not available
Paid for 12 noon check out ..cleaner's woke us trying to enter room twice from 10 am
Stated we would be out till early morning at kielder observatory..given number for night porter..no answer ..banged hotel doors and windows for ages until night porter finally opened up .Never again.
